After doing the typical internet to the store to the internet dance, I found this TV had the most bang for the buck. I was disappointed with the other 47" TV's standard def picture -- really pixelated. The colors are great, the TV was easy to setup, the sound is better than any other tv I've ever had, but I could understand a techie not being impressed. The HD picture is great. My wife and I bought this TV about 3 months ago and I spent 2 years looking up TV's and learning all about them. Granted the technology changes every month but this TV was the best of the best. The TV sits on a swivel so you can change your angle. Only one other brand can do that. The larger size and a cheaper price. Quality is great and many of my friends that have also bought LCD HDTV's are jealous of this one.

I Really Like this HDTV

I spent some time searching for HDTVs, and was drawn to the LG 47LH40 because it was being offered at a great price at an online store that I trust. I just got it, and have been playing it all day. I have an older HDTV that presents a terrific picture, but the LG picture is even better. The additional features like auto-adjustment to ambient light and keeping the sound of commercials at the same level as your program are great, too. Watching sports with this HDTV is a treat. This is a great model for the price and size.

I really didn't know what to expect when I started looking for a new tv.....however, after searching reviews online and speaking to salespeople, the LG was soon on the top of my list. After getting it home, I couldn't be happier....I love the size that I got and the picture couldn't be better! I love this tv...I actually went and bought the 35" LG to replace my tv in the bedroom because I liked it so much!!!

This is a great TV at a great price. The only issue I have is occaionally sound is not completely in sync with the picture.

I purchased this model as I already own an LG TV and have been very pleased. Easy to operate, intuitive menu and full of features and functions that make it stand out from most of the rest.
Screen can seem too crisp at times, but easily adjusted with screen menu options.
