nice replacement

This is an upgrade replacement for a LG 42 unit that was stolen. In the six months, several changes were made and they were not all totally "favorable". I'm a little concerned that the analog audio out jacks were removed and I had to make more purchases to use the optical audio out. Otherwise, the base is nicer, the remote is very good, and the color is crisp. I cannot wait for the thirty day "burn-in" period to get the calibration done on this new unit.

I purchased this TV over 1 week ago and so far have no complaints. The picture quality is very good and the sound quality is acceptable. I do not like the fact that the only way you can connect the audio output is through an Optical Output cable, unfortunately my receiver does not have opetical in so I cannot have the audio projected through my speakers. I have read other reviews about synch between audio and mouth movement, I am connected through DirectTV and have not seen this as a problem.

This TV is awsome. The best part of the TV is you can adjust the brightness to look like a samsung (samsungs have a fake picture to me) or use the defaults which are nice. This default options really allow for the TV to look natural. The energy savor feature often times turns the brightness to low to gain the advantages of the TV. Easy to use and setup. Will defently buy another LG TV.

This TV has been a wonderful addition to my entertainment system! The picture is beautiful in normal and HD. Blu-ray looks excellent. The functions of the TV are easy to utilize. The sound quality is decent as well. Have been enjoying the TV and definitely recommend it to anyone!

Great Value + Picture

This T V is top notch! The picture is clean and crisp, especially with the Blu Ray that came as a package deal through our retailer. You have to adjust the settings to get an acceptable picture with standard def. stuff, but if you take the time to use the picture wizard, you will be happy. Did I mention that the BluRay upconverts your existing dvds? They have never looked better, I hope the T V lasts a long time, then I will comment more on value, but so far, I'm getting a lot of bang for my buck! Just compare the contrast ratio to other sets, and throw in the tru motion, wow! The only con I have for now is that during some scenes of movies, when the camera pans around a steady object, you get a small amount of pixelation around the outline of the object, but there is probably an adjustment for it, it is'nt that distracting, so I haven't bothered to figure it out. You should buy this TV, you won't be disappointed!

I would highly recommend this LG television to anyone wanting one of the best. The picture is and awesome! It’s like I am in the show not just watching the show. The features on the television work great, using the USB feature to look at pictures or listen to music are so simple and easy to use. One feature I really enjoy is the intelligent sensor, when the lights go out the television gets darker and makes it easier to watch at night.

Great Big Beautiful Picture

Just set up the LG 47LH40. Great picture, superb sound for a flat screen and incredible adjustability. The Picture Wizard and the Expert modes are fantastic. I spent a long time comparing TVs, and I am truly glad I settled on this model.
