I am so pleased that I purchased this LG LED TV, a few years ago while traveling back East I noticed that Philadephia, PA Int'l airport now had all these flat panel TV's for viewing while waiting in the airport and that is the 1st time I noticed LG for TV's and what a great sharp picture they had. I have for years been purchasing LG phones through my carrier Verizon but until I noticed the quality of the picture on their TV's did I get interested and when it was time to purchase one I looked at LG first and glad I did! I would highly recommend their products!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

I Love this TV. The picture is excellent. I couldn't believe how clear and crisp the picture is. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone.

This is one fine HDTV! It is my first flat screen TV. I own a BD-390 Blu-Ray player, and was confident that their HDTV product line would match the quality and performance. The picture is consistantly sharp and provides excellent color. As with all electronics, I do recommend the purchase of a high quality surge protector to prevent premature failure.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Cons: grannular background occasionally., grannular background may be due to poor disc.

47LG40 is nice TV with all required features.
Low price compare to other brand with same features. No problem till 8 months.

Originally bought an LG 47" that was stolen about one month after I bought it. This was a little more than a year ago. When I got replace it, I liked my first LG enough to get the follow up, which was this unit. Very nice, colors are warm, it starts quickly, the menus are easy to navigate. The bezel could be a tad smaller, but it's not too bad, and the 120 HZ mode I just leave off, as it tends to make some HD images hard to watch. For the most part, I really like this TV overall.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings
Cons: bezel is somewhat large, 120 hz operation isn't up to par with newer models

I had been wanting a large flat screen TV for a couple of years and this was the year I decided to treat myself to one. I love this TV! The clarity is wonderful and the colors are spectacular! I am not one bit sorry I made the purchase, just sorry it took me so long!

I am having a hard time adjusting to the "look" of the programs and movies. Even after adjusting settings, it looks like a sit-com from the 70's, or worse yet, a soap opera.

wonderful TV , blew away similar sonys, philips,etc. i have owned this for over a year and couldn't be happier. only thing i would change: change the frame/screen surround
