could not be more pleased

I could not have made a better purchase. I am amazed at the picture quality again and again. I don't yet have a home theaters system, but the speakers built into the t.v. are quite impressive. some of the others I looked at I had a hard time hearing because the speakers were in the back and were small, but these are amazingly loud and have excellent quality. I would buy it again.

Owner's manual on DVD?

After I say that all of the other reviews saying what a great picture, great sound (with NO bass) easy setup, I am left with one question. Why did the instruction manual come on a DVD THAT WON'T PLAY ON A DVD PLAYER? It plays just fine on my computer, but I can't play it through the TV. That is just a silly oversight. I couldn't afford a Blu-Ray at the same time, so it may play on that player.

Cons: needs an sd slot, needs large antenna if you live in the 'burbs

Excellent TV

The TV is great, I have had it for 4 months now and so far I have been extremely happy with it. I love LG products and didn't even consider another brand. If I could change anything about this TV it would be the location of the speakers. They need to be on the front of the TV. I have the TV against a wall which is next to a hallway and the sound tends to go down the hallway and is much louder behind the TV instead of the sound going out forward from the TV. But that is minor and I am still very happy with my purchase!

This is the first HD LCD big screen TV that we have ever purchased. IT is a great TV, with Great Picture and easy to use set up guide and it is super easy to use. Best TV investment we have ever made. Great TV
