Excellent player/sound issues

This player is the best for the pricing point. When hooked up to the internet via the ethernet port it really becomes a home entertainment solution for more than just Blu-ray movies! The only hiccup I experienced was a loss of sound. I called the 800 number and asked for help and because I was using HDMI the sound was not setup to pass through, I am now happily enjoying this unit. I highly recomend this 1080p player using an HDMI cable that supports 1080p/10.2 Gbps on an LG fully 1080p TV!

I can rate this product in one word...AWESOME. It was very easy hook-up and to connect with Netflix..no problem..love the ease of watching a movie. Would definitely get another and another.

Excellent Machine

This may be a discontinued device but it gave me much much more than I expected. It has changed my home entertainment life. Access to Netflix and other programs via the internet and the quality of the machine in unbelievable. It makes cable movies and programming almost obsolete. I may even fire my cable tv service. In 30 years this is the first electronic device that is near flawless. The next time I walk into an electronics store and have a need for a new product, I am walking straight to the LG displays. Good customer service and reasonable prices too!

This is an excellent product. I got it mainly for the Netflix streaming function and good reviews on HD playback, and it delivers on both at an excellent price. Blu-ray discs look stunning, and the DVD upscale feature is great too. Netflix streaming is seamless, and it has made the movie watching experience simpler and more enjoyable.

Absolutely Terrible Product

Worked well for about year. Then constantly would freeze up, now will not even recognize a dvd and will also not open the door to put the movie in. Worst product I've ever bought.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a very good unit. It has a lot of great features and is very easy to operate. Operation is simply and straight forward. Setup was easy and the manual answered any questions I had during setup. With all the features you get and great overall quality this player is hard to beat in it's price range!

Great Blu-Ray Value

I ordered this Blu-Ray player because I was also purchasing an LG HDTV, and the price seemed good. This player loads very quickly (4 to 5 seconds), and has a nice feature of showing a different color around the power button depending on the type of disc being played. Everything worked the first time I tried it, which is great. Excellent Blu-Ray display, great sound, and CDs and DVDs sound and look great, too. I tried the Internet access, and was very satisfied with the results. I am very pleased. The next thing to look for is whether the unit plays this well for a long time, but that has to be another review.

1DVD and it died

Got it set up and streamed one video from Netflix. Then a week later played a DVD. Later that day tried to play another and the console would not boot. Now I have to send it in and get it replaced. What a piece of JUNK!
