would have given you five stars, however, due to the thinner ring around the filters that you ship now vs the three received with the pitcher-the filters do not fit well enough and we must use plumbers tape on the filters to ensure they do not leak.....sigh

I really like the taste of our water when it goes through the filter, but they only last us about a week and there's just two people in our house. So my 12-pack will last less than three months. TDS levels here are 380, so if you're in a high TDS area I'd go with an under-sink filter or reverse osmosis unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical. There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short. So far, 2 of the 12 had faulty seals -- leaking water into pitcher from first pour. Plus, the filters seem to last shorter amount of time than usual. Has design been changed? If so, it's changed for the worse.

So I just bought another 12 pack, cause I had 3 left of another big pack of filters. So the last 3 filters when I opened them up had water in them. " note: brand new" . They have told me before they rinse there filters with water before they ship. I have been rinsing my pitcher very well. I put the filter in and it reads 009, I open another one, that reads 005 and the 3rd reads 001. I open my new filters I just bought, weird cause that filter was bone dry. It reads 002. I buy a Brand new TDS meter, cause I thought maybe the meter was off. So Beware ... just my experience

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. The most accurate way to get reading is to test the water directly inside the pitcher. You can do this by removing the reservoir from the pitcher and sticking the meter in the filtered water sitting in the pitcher. If you get a 000 reading inside the pitcher it is possible that the cup or glass you were using before had soap residue on it causing the meter to read above 000. If you are not getting 000 in the pitcher, try the following steps to see if you can get the filter to read 000 on the meter. Dry off the filter with a clean paper towel. Then place the filter over a clean paper cup. Run a small amount of water directly into the filter and test the water that collects into the cup. If the meter does not read 000 it is possible that unfiltered water got into the pitcher via a leak at the O-ring. In order for filtered water to read correctly there must be a perfect seal where the filter is screwed into the reservoir. Make sure the filter is screwed in from the bottom not dropped in from the top. If this does not solve your issue please contact our customer support team at 1-800-503-2939 option 2. These and the 40 cup dispenser are great! I still use my smaller pitcher for cooking needs. So being able to have a good and affordable supply of filters is important! These are a much better deal than getting from the store!
