My husband and I love this product! We had been using Brita for years and always thought we were drinking filtered water and it still tasted good. When we tried the Zero Water what a HUGE difference! It was GREAT tasting. We decided to test the Brita water with the tester that comes with the Zero Water system, we were drinking “35“ on the tester compared to “0” on the Zero Water. We couldn’t believe it. We weren’t even drinking filtered all these years. We will never change to another system. We have already ordered filters to last us a year.

I love the 5 step filtration process, and I don’t know of a better option considering cost, waste, etc. Despite this, Zero Water filters are so frustrating!! Over the past couple years (when I switched to ZW), about 90% of my Zero Water filters slowed down considerably after the first week or two of use. At that point, filtering 16 ounces would take 2-3 hours. The Company probably loved me since I would then change my filter. This approach was getting expensive, so I started investigating a solution. Online I read that the slow down is caused by an unpredictable air bubble (or bubbles). Zero Water said these air bubbles could be removed by squeezing them out via pressing the sides of the filter. Another person wrote about drilling small holes into the side of the filter. Since I didn’t feel like grabbing my drill, I took out the filter and squeezed as best I could. My level of squeeze was not enough to improve filtration rate, so I started banging the filter against the side of the sink. After 4-5 of these smashes, the filter’s output improved. My experience is that after each air bubble removal, the filter works for a few days and then I need to again clear air bubbles.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. From time to time the filter can develop an air lock, some little air pockets or air bubbles that get trapped down inside the filter. Typically this is an easy and quick fix, simply remove the filter from the container and unscrew it from the tray. Then hold the filter sideways/horizontal and grip the filter very tightly and shake the filter with some good force side to side and back and forth 8 to 10 times. This will loosen the filter media and break the air lock.
Didn't last very long for how low my TDS readings are.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Filter life is based on the quality of the water being filtered. The higher the TDS reading the shorter the filter life and vice versa. Test your tap water and use the chart in the link below to determine the average number of gallons based on your specific tap water TDS reading. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0311/5499/5336/files/tds-chart.jpg?v=1601429855 If your filters are not lasting within the guidelines in the chart above please call us and replacements will be sent to you.
Filters do not drain properly and dispenser breaks prematurely. But the water it filters out tastes fantastic.

From time to time, a filter may develop an air bubble or air pocket. Carefully lift the reservoir, grip the body of the filter at its mid-section and give the filter 4-5 squeezes while there is water filtering through. This will return the flow back to its normal state. If there an issue with your dispenser please give us a call and we will have a replacement sent out to you right away. We always stand behind the quality of our products and if there is ever an issue we are more than happy to replace a broken or defective item.
