filter quality

The filters i bought some of them doesnt filter well, after i opened and use it the TDS' results are greater than 6 already. Next time i will take a picture for proof. I need to be refunded for at least 4 filters from the 8 filters i bought.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. The most accurate way to get reading is to test the water directly inside the pitcher. You can do this by removing the reservoir from the pitcher and sticking the meter in the filtered water sitting in the pitcher. If you get a 000 reading inside the pitcher it is possible that the cup or glass you were using before had soap residue on it causing the meter to read above 000.
If you are not getting 000 in the pitcher, try the following steps to see if you can get the filter to read 000 on the meter.
• Dry off the filter with a clean paper towel. Then place the filter over a clean paper cup.
• Run a small amount of water directly into the filter and test the water that collects into the cup. If the meter does not read 000 it is possible that unfiltered water got into the pitcher via a leak at the O-ring. In order for filtered water to read correctly there must be a perfect seal where the filter is screwed into the reservoir.

I got a large dispenser for Christmas. I loved the water until the filter reading got to 3, then it started to taste like citric acid. We were trying to replace our bottled water supplier. Will monitor for how many gallons we get per filter. Cost may not be worth it, but the it is for the environment. URG!

Works well but not for long.

As someone living in El Paso, where the water is horrible, these filters last maybe a few days to just under a week. I don't enjoy replacing these absurdly expensive filters every week! Wish they would make a filter that doesn't change to a bitter taste, because I could totally keep drinking it for longer and be just fine. I feel like changing the water to taste bitter is a tactic to get more money. Honestly I'd rather invest in an osmosis system or something at this point because I can't afford to change them this much!

Hello! Filter life depends on the TDS reading of your tap water and your water consumption. The higher your TDS is of your tap water, the shorter the filter life will be. Please give us a call at 800-503-2939 so we can discuss this further with you.

Have been using for years...its the only filter that brings the water out of the tap to 0 ppm...
Our water out of the tap, in W. Babylon, NY only measures 27-35 ppm, but you could definitely taste the difference..Our filters usually last 2-3 months before they measure 12-15 ppm when they get changed...excellent product

Better than Brita and does measure 000

I rent a home so I will not install a water system. This is the best product I have found short of buying expensive alkaline water to drink daily. I have been using now for about 1 year so I can effectively evaluate in my opinion. I have pretty hard water so the filter life sometimes isn't more than a month but other times it has been 2 months or so. One thing that helps me with my water is I leave the hinge door open and that seems to help with better tasting and longer lasting 000. Don't know if anyone else has this but if it is a thing maybe there can be a breath hole at the top. When I leave the door closed the fresh filtered water smells and tastes like tap water (actually my tap water smells heavy of chlorine). I do believe that this shortens the life of the filter, so by leaving the hinge door open at the top I don't have this problem. I also had the bubble thing happen and instinctively did the rinse out and worked with it and it helped. I would not be able to drink my tap water otherwise it is so bad, and Brita is okay but in my opinion less superior product. A little pricey but it's still less than buying bottled water.

We have been using Zerowater for a year now. I do regular filter replacements. What I do like about it is , I don't taste the chlorine after filtering the water. What I don't like about it, the high price of the filters. You pay big to filter your water.
