The first one out of the 16 had not gone thru the rinse cycle at the factory properly I hope the are not all like that.

I have been using Zero Water filters and products for more than ten years, now. I, and my husband have always been very picky about the water we drink, and bought many different brands of bottled water over the years, many which were never up to par. We drink a lot of water and go through two filters a month. The water is always sweet and fresh tasting, as from a cold glacial spring high in the mountains. Since most bottled water is merely filtered water, as it is, Zero Water filters are far superior in taste, value and health-wise. I hope you never change the quality of these superior filters. Thank you for your great customer service as well.

Filters do work great but they sure don't last very long.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Due to the amount of variables involved we try and stay away from using time to determine filter life, instead we use gallons, a more constant form of measurement. Filter life is based solely off of the quality of the water being filtered. The higher the tap water is in dissolved solids the shorter the filter life will be.
