One of the filters was defective and wouldn't thread onto the collar. I called customer service and Penny was very helpful while I tried to attach the remaining filter from the 2 pack. It threaded fine and Penny said she would have a replacement sent to replace the one with defective threading. My pitcher has already paid for itself in less than a month.
Loaded up too soon on 248 ppm. Tap water. I needed to flush 1/2 gal through filter to remove charcoal dust right off the bat. ? Why don't they come pre rinced ?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Normally our filters are flushed at the factory, we apologize for the issue with this particular filter and if you would give us a call we would be happy to replace the filter for you. 1-800-503-2939
I recently moved and found that the water in the new house did not agree with one of my dogs - as that was the only thing different; he had no issues in the other home. At first, I thought it was stress, but weeks went by with no changes. So I decided to tackle the only variable: the water. I have occasionally purchased water filters in the past and did not find them to be very effective. Numerous water tests indicated there was no effect. I even tested the filtered water against a fish tank that I was testing for leaks (nothing in it, but just weeks of standing water - so maybe a few flies :-) and the tests showed that that filtered water had more solids than the standing water! Anyway, I really wanted a filter that did the job, so I researched and researched. The opinions and test results of many filter systems were all over the place. Finally, Zero Water was the only one that consistently came out on top from independent testing. It seemed pricey since it appeared that the filter did not last too long, compared to others - but since the others didn't seem to be very effective, I thought it was worth taking a chance. I am glad I did - it did take a few more weeks, but my dog is finally 'solid' again. :-) The water has no odor or taste. Yes, I do have to replace it every month, but the peace of mind that my water (which is a community well: well water that is tested and chlorined) for my dogs is good, is worth it - on so many levels! I did compare the TDS meter that was supplied by ZeroWater with one that I had, and the results were spot on: out of the tap - 130; after ZeroWater filtered - 0; approximately one month in, it starts to climb to about 4 - but you actually know when it is starting to climb even without testing: it takes a much longer time to filter, then you know it's time to test and change. Finally, I think I have found my forever filter!
It’s nice to know that by using these filters we are helping to reduce the plastic waste in the environment. Hopefully plastic will be banned across the globe and we can all buy ZeroWater filters!
I have been using Zero for a few years now. I “Absolutely” love these filters. I won’t use anything else.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Water filter not lasting

Length of ownership:1 week
I have used 2 filters pack of 2 filters in less than 2 month. Each filters is lasting 15 days. That is very expensive at this trend. There is a smell and acidic taste after 15th day. Been using zerowater now for a bit over a year. The quality is starting to lag.
It seems to have issues draining into the container, I have tried different things. This filter was recommended by a friend, but I have not Been impressed.

From time to time, a filter may develop an air bubble or air pocket. Carefully lift the reservoir, grip the body of the filter at its mid-section and give the filter 4-5 squeezes while there is water filtering through. This will return the flow back to its normal state.
