The last two zero water filters, after I changed them to a new filter then checked the water that I just filtered the new filters registered 2 on the water meter. That's not good for a new water filter.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. The most accurate way to get reading is to test the water directly inside the pitcher. You can do this by removing the reservoir from the pitcher and sticking the meter in the filtered water sitting in the pitcher. If you get a 000 reading inside the pitcher it is possible that the cup or glass you were using before had soap residue on it causing the meter to read above 000. If you are not getting 000 in the pitcher, try the following steps to see if you can get the filter to read 000 on the meter. Dry off the filter with a clean paper towel. Then place the filter over a clean paper cup. Run a small amount of water directly into the filter and test the water that collects into the cup. If the meter does not read 000 it is possible that unfiltered water got into the pitcher via a leak at the O-ring. In order for filtered water to read correctly there must be a perfect seal where the filter is screwed into the reservoir. Make sure the filter is screwed in from the bottom not dropped in from the top. If this does not solve your issue please contact our customer support team at 1-800-503-2939 option 2. They are available Monday through Friday 8 AM to 8 PM CST.

Allergic to most bottled waters

I found Zero Water from a friend who thought I was crazy about having an allergic reaction water, but it's true! The muscles around my throat and towards the base of my skull down my spine become severely inflamed and impossible to treat once reaching that level. I can taste the difference immediately if a bottled/filtered water will disagree with me. I was going through HUNDREDS of small and large Aquafina bottles causing my share of plastic damage to the earth until I found this :) Please don't ever go out of business or I could die! I keep a putcher at work and filter the water cooler water, as well as the large container with spigot in my fridge when home. It's been a true game changer. If you're worried about cost. cut back on your sodas and drink more water!
I have used the ZeroWater system for about two years. It was recommended as a favored option by the lab that tested my water. I like the system very much, especially the ability to measure the dissolved solid content using the included tool. My water tests at about 17 unfiltered. The ZeroWater filters reduce the count to 0, initially, gradually building back up to the 006 filter replacement level. I would rate the ZeroWater at a 5 except for the tendency for the filters to airlock, requiring maintenance to keep water flowing through them. (This happens fairly regularly).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this as our well water tasted bad Now can’t stop using it. I got so hooked I use the tester on bottled water to compare and can honestly say zero water comes out on top every time.
