Tested TDS on tap water it about 108, filter worked 1 week then water is out of the filter has bad flavor. The Zerowater TDS is in the 280 area so makes the tap water worse.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used these filters for 6-8 years, they used to be so good. But for the past year or so, every time I get them, they last for shorter and shorter time. They discontinued the twist off cap for a soft plastic, which started out ok but they have also gotten worse. The latest batch that I purchased leaves glue and plastic residue all over the top. Just very frustrating, it's pushed me to make the leap to a under-sink filter instead of using these.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have been using Zero water for several years and lived in multiple locations over the those years, one of which was a very northern clean climate in Oregon where the untreated tap water's TDS was very low. After that, we lived in one of the largest cities in the US with tap water that was more treated and much higher in TDS. Throughout each of these locations (and others) we have used Zero water because we like the taste. However, the filter's lifespan has not changed depending on the local TDS of the water. For us, in EVERY location we've lived in, the filters only last about 1 week or even just 6 days before the water starts tasting bad and the TDS begins to slowly rise. We are torn because we like the taste of the water when it's good, but the filters seriously do not last long AT ALL and they are very expensive. In fact, it seems like the price keeps going up when we go to rebuy, while the duration of life is getting shorter. We are disappointed and unfortunately we may have to begin the search for the next best filtration system. It's sad because we love Zero water but it's just getting unreasonable for us.

With most every user, filter life varies by the quality of the water being filtered, seems to be the same for you, regardless of water quality, which is the opposite of my and others experience. As far as filter price goes, our prices have only decreased over the last few years.

Taste the difference!

I've had the ZeroWater dispenser for over a year and a half. I must say that for the first time I tried it to date I have yet to find another water filtration system that can provide this level of purity.
I find this product and its manufacturers to be on point. The water before I bought the system had a very mild almost unnoticeable taste. After I bought the system, the difference was shocking. I drank my first glass after buying the system and actually tasted for the first time in a decade actual pure water. You can taste the different.

Great Product

I am a avid RV'er and bought this on the recommendation of a fellow RV'er. This product is great and works as advertised. I never drink tap water so I use to bring bottles and jugs of water with me, which created weight and took up space. Now I just use this. I use it to make ice cubes and they come out crystal clear.

Great tasting coffee

I've been using these for almost 2 years and it really helps the taste of my coffee as well. We have a well and we filter the water with a whole house filter first. It is then filtered at the sink with a PUR filter and we still have over 120 on the tester. We then put it into the the Zero filter pitcher and it is Zero. This seems to make the filter last much longer. we really enjoy ours.

Better than bottled water!

I’ve been using zero water filters for about 6 years. We live in Florida, and used to buy cases and jugs of water. The other filters never did what they promised. The water still tasted terrible. Once we started using Zero Water filters, we never stopped. Boiled water doesn’t leave a ring. Coffee and tea taste terrific. We even make our own ice cubes the old fashioned way. Instead of grabbing a bottle of water when we leave the house, we fill up a stainless steel tumbler. No more throwing away hundreds of plastic bottles a month. I would never live without a Zero Water filter again.

I live in North Dakota...the tap water here tastes funky..if you pour a glass and leave it sit for a few minutes there is an oil slick looking film that shows up..yummy. We had a fire in July of 2019 and lost all of our possessions especially our water filter and when looking into a replacement item my husband told me he wanted a Zero Water because he heard great things about the quality of the water. Not going to lie the fact that we have some of the worse water in the country and the fact filters aren't cheap made me question if it was worth it. I have to give my husband credit where it's due, we love our Zero Water.
We have talked so much about how great we love this pitcher that my in-laws and my daughter, and even a few of our co-workers have purchased their own!
