Okay filters . Have very hard water, which the filters remove, but the water smells fishy after fairly short time.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. After Zero Water filters have been exhausted and have not been changed, the water produced from the filter may have a distinct smell or taste and the TDS reading may be higher than your tap water. This is a result of the water passing over the “spent” Ion Exchange Resin beads. We have gone to great lengths in reducing that taste/smell in product development however this is simply a characteristic of filtering water with a Dual-Ion Exchange system. In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water it is important to test the water regularly and change the filter when the digital meter reads 006.
These filters are best quality so far I have seen, far better than brita.

I have been using zero water for about 10 years. It is the best water filtration system I have researched. The savings of buying plastic water bottles or 5 gallon water filtration bottles is incredible. I love the clean taste. And when it is time to change the filters, I can actually taste a difference. You guys need to Market this product more aggressive and get the word out to all these people buying and reusing water bottles.

I purchased after reading many reviews and recommendations on the internet. I was happy with the product output especially zero TDS in water and good taste. One day my neighbor walks-in with an eSpring product and gives a demo, highlighting instant filtering of a long list of things and a filter life of almost a year used for a family of four. I picked up the TDS meter and measured the filtered water, the reading was 180 and tap water TDS read 169, then I showed zeroWater output 0 TDS. He started to explain removing everything from water is not healthy, eSpring removes bad stuff but retains minerals and so on, that is the reason the TDS value is high. My question to ZeroWater team, Is Zero TDS good for health? Is Zero water filter remove minerals that are important? FYI: I still use ZeroWater.

. Our filtering technology does not differentiate between bad chemicals and good minerals that could be present in the water; the filter removes all of these. The FDA recommends that you receive essential vitamins and minerals from a well-balanced diet, and not necessarily from water alone.

So Happy to Have Found Them!

Zerowater has saved our drinking water ability on many fronts. Living on northshore Lake Erie we have problems with Algae Blooms which are very troubling! With this product we have found we don't even have to clean the kettle every week from the lime scale and feel very safe in using it with the ongoing issues with everyone's water source.
Produces great tasting water, but for only a short while. After some use and pitcher refills, at some point the water begins to taste bad, although the tester provided still shows it's drinkable (for a while). For the cost, I just wish the filter was effective a little longer.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Filter life is based on the quality of the water being filtered. The higher the TDS reading of the tap water, the shorter the filter life and vice versa. Coupons are available for print at https://zerowater.com/pages/promotions-savings#coupon
