I have to stir the contents to get the filter flowing again

We certainly apologize for the continued frustrations with the filters, typically this is an easy and quick fix, simply remove the filter from the container and unscrew it from the tray. Then hold the filter sideways/horizontal and grip the filter very tightly and shake the filter with some good force side to side and back and forth 8 to 10 times. This will loosen the filter media and break the air lock. If you do not clear all of air from the filter this issue will continue to compound itself over and over. Also never fill the reservoir directly from the faucet or spigot from your sink as this is naturally aerated and will force air down inside the filter. It is best to fill the reservoir with a large glass or measuring cup and pour into the corner of the reservoir away from the center of the filter. If there is ever a filter that simply just will not fix itself when the aforementioned trouble shooting steps have been followed we are more than happy to replace that filter. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
ZeroWater filters have always been a little pricey but are totally worth it. The fill tank on my coffee maker would have white residue after a few days of using tap water. I would clean it out and it would return. I've been using my ZeroWater water now for some time. No more residue and great tasting coffee. I am truly happy with this product and highly recommend it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Even with a whole house filter system

We have used Zero Water filters for years. When we built our new home we installed a whole-house filter system that resulted in much cleaner water from the tap, but we still use Zero Water for all consumable water - drinking, coffee, tea and any cooking that requires added water. I still love my Zero Water!!!
Pre-washing the new filters is a great idea, makes change overs quicker and easier. Was also glad when they went from the black removable "O" rings to the embedded blue ones. My TDS tester shows straight from the tap my reading is from 325 to 350 and on the day it reads .006 the taste is very notable. I've been using the zero-water system for at least 10 years, saved some money and a good bit of plastic waste by doing so. I'm on my second pitcher, After 10 years of iron hard and chlorine heavy tap water slowly wore at the plastic finishes. I expect to get another 10 years out of the new one.
Best investment if you want no interruption in fresh purified water. Each filter last my family about a month. That’s because we constantly drink water more than anything else.
