It's only two of us in the apartment and we are having to replace the filters every week, which seems excessive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical.
There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.

Great filtering, sometimes very slow

These filters are great! The only reason why I gave four stars is because the time it takes for a filter to filter water varies from filter to filter. Sometimes we have put a brand new filter in and it filters quickly. We recently replaced our filter and the new filter filters extremely slow and stops filtering when the water level in our readypour dispenser reaches a certain level. Weird. None of the other filters have done that before.
Aside from this, we are very happy with these filters and are very thankful we have the opportunity to drink water that tests at zero!

Bought this because my house water taste horrible. Zero water taste clean and wonderful. Only draw back is the filters don't last a long time and they get a sweet taste when it is time to change them. Otherwise I recommend it.

They are lasting about a month. You will pay more for cases of water in a month and zero water tastes so much better. My only problem is paying for the cost if you recycle and have not paid to have them returned, although it looks like you can get money or credit back towards your next purchase if you recycle.

I like this product. The only problem I have is sometimes the filter doesn't work properly. It would be nice if the filters cost less, because we have a problem with the water and need to cook as well as drink bottled water.

"One of the best decisions I have made in my 70 years." My ice tea is crystal clear and my coffee doesn't have that oily film floating on top.
