I've had my zero water system for about a year and a half and I love it. Any other water tastes dirty now. Easy to use and never want to be without it!

No recycling!

I'm happy to have lead out of my drinking water. But what to do with the used filters? They end up in a landfill and eventually pollute the ground water. Zero Water needs to develop a recycling plan!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please find information regarding our recycling program at https://www.zerowater.com/docs/ZeroWaterRecycling.pdf. Additionally, ZeroWater filters are made from #5 plastics and are accepted by many local recycling companies.

No more tap water

I bought Zerowater filters when I read that even treated and filtered tap water on average anywhere in the country contains 57 pesticide residues, many of which have been linked to cancer...not to mention a host of pharmaceutical residues that cannot be removed by the treatment process. Thankfully, I found Zerowater filters, which remove most, if not all, of the above contaminants. Excellent product that will never be absent from my home!

Replacement filter failed
on October 26, 2019

Length of ownership:1 week
On October 14, 2019 I bought 2 replacement filters and replaced my zerowater with one of them. Just in 8 days the meter started reading 7 points, and today it is reading 17 points. In other words, it needs to be changed again. I am very disappointed because filters are expensive and they are supposed to last for some time, but not a few days. I want to return them and be reimbursed. Please inform me where to send the filters in question.

The most accurate way to get reading is to test the water directly inside the pitcher. You can do this by removing the reservoir from the pitcher and sticking the meter in the filtered water sitting in the pitcher. If you get a 000 reading inside the pitcher it is possible that the cup or glass you were using before had soap residue on it causing the meter to read above 000.
If you are not getting 000 in the pitcher, try the following steps to see if you can get the filter to read 000 on the meter.
• Dry off the filter with a clean paper towel. Then place the filter over a clean paper cup.
• Run a small amount of water directly into the filter and test the water that collects into the cup. If the meter does not read 000 it is possible that unfiltered water got into the pitcher via a leak at the O-ring. In order for filtered water to read correctly there must be a perfect seal where the filter is screwed into the reservoir.
If this does not solve your issue please contact our customer support team at 1-800-503-2939 option 2. We are available Monday through Friday 8 AM to 8 PM CST.

So far so good

We had a brita system and after having a water warning and noticing particles in our water, we opted to try out the Zero system.
After 2 more water warnings, we noticed the new zero system continually read 000 even after the warnings!
Very happy with the system although once in awhile the tops of the filters seem to "leak" particles and turn the top yellowish. It doesn't seem to alter the reading however as the water continues to read 000 so we tend to not worry about it and just keep it clean when it occurs.
The price of the filters is a bit high and it appears there is no inline filter system for ice makers (someone needs to create one please)

I am very pleased with this filter and amazed to be able to drink purer water. I live in California, the water here is very hard.
