This is wonderful water. It's pretty easy to switch out filters. I have the filter so that I am not buying plastic jugs of distilled water for my house plants. While it does cut down on that, it is difficult or expensive to recycle the filters. I can't even find the info about recycling on the website anymore and it isn't on the packaging.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used my Zero Water now for two years, and my only concern/complaint is the charcoal and some kind of gold looking granules that surface from the top of the filter. These particles end up in a glass of water if you pour from the pitcher.

Thank you for reaching out to us. For the particles in the reservoir (unfiltered water): this does not normally occur but when it does it is usually a result of the filter being dried out or high pressure water hitting the top of the filter.

Do not buy the bulk packages. They look like they're a great way to save money on the filters. Unfortunately, they are a waste of money because they don't work properly. I can't believe it, but the filter stopped working within a couple of days. The filter only filtered half the water to fill the pitcher. The portion of water that did come out had a 0.00 reading on the meter. Usually, it takes two fill-ups of water to fill a pitcher in about 10 minutes. The filter stopped working during the second half to fill the pitcher. The water sat in the un-filtered water receptacle for over 3 hours before I emptied it

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. It sounds like you may have had some air pockets in the filter. To alleviate this it is best to lift the filter and reservoir out of the pitcher or dispenser and tap the side of the filter using moderate force to help break up the air pocket. Then take just the filter & reservoir to the sink and put about an inch of water into the reservoir and allow that to run through the filter and right into the sink to displace and dispel the air pocket. After that has completed then return the filter and reservoir to the pitcher or dispenser and continue to filter water as normal. We also suggest pouring the unfiltered tap water directly onto the top of the filter.
I bought these filters when I purchased the zerowater pitcher, at a slightly discounted price. I have been happy with the zerowater pitcher and am glad the filters are relatively inexpensive.
