First, these are pretty big filters, which isn’t that big of a deal. Second, they don’t filter fast at all and have had times where I fill it up before bed and there’s still sitting water in the reservoir in the morning. I was told I have to squeeze the filter sometimes to get air bubbles out. Finally, the water tasted great at first, but now it has a mild bandaid taste and the meter is only measuring 001. This has made me wonder about what is actually in all the water filters on the market.

From time to time, a filter may develop an air bubble or air pocket. Carefully lift the reservoir, grip the body of the filter at its mid-section and give the filter 4-5 squeezes while there is water filtering through. This will return the flow back to its normal state.

Water taste review

I have had this unit since...gosh I think about 5 yrs. now. I cant drink the tap water because of well water taste..UG We have to have a whole house filter but this does the trick for me. Highly recommend it.
Our water tasted awful until I bought a Zero Water pitcher. I’ve tried other brands but no other filter removed all the bad taste and smell as completely as Zero filters.
It's quite a bargain, and quality product for water filtration for drinking purposes, however, the packaging they came in, a mere wrapper made of plastic, placed in a cardboard box for shipping, leaves me with some concern for the filters to be compromised should the box be mishandled in shipping.
Excellent product delivered promptly. The real thing! Not a fake or off brand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this water filter 3 weeks ago. It measured 000 for first 2 weeks then tasted bad, remeasured 824 filtered with 278 input. I would not expect it to be worst than the tap?

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. Filter life is dependent on the quality of the water being filtered. In areas where the TDS readings are high, filter life will be short. Please call us at 800-503-2939, option 2 in order to further assist you.
