Filter getting dry. The water just sits in the reservoir and drips through, if at all. Waist money and time. I gave 2 stars because it is good quality of water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. From time to time the filter can develop an air lock, some little air pockets or air bubbles that get trapped down inside the filter. Typically this is an easy and quick fix, simply remove the filter from the container and unscrew it from the tray. Then hold the filter sideways/horizontal and grip the filter very tightly and shake the filter with some good force side to side and back and forth 8 to 10 times. This will loosen the filter media and break the air lock.
I love the entire product & have everything from the small & large pitchers to the water dispenser. My only problem is, on occasion, the filter only allows the pitcher to fill half way up instead of to the top. This means I have to refill twice as often! Fix this problem & I'll give you 5 stars!

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Sometimes the filters will develop an air pocket inside them. This can happen as the filter contents settle in transit or during the filtration process as air bubbles can become trapped inside of the filter. Then once the water level in the pitcher meets the air pocket it can stop or severely slow down the flow of water through the filter due to the pressure of the water both above and below the air pocket inside the filter. First try unscrewing the filter, then re-installing it. If that does not work to alleviate this, it is best to lift the filter and reservoir out of the pitcher or dispenser and tap the side of the filter using moderate force to help break up the air pocket. Then take just the filter & reservoir to the sink and put about an inch of water into the reservoir and allow that to run through the filter and right into the sink to displace and dispel the air pocket. After that has completed then return the filter and reservoir to the pitcher or dispenser and continue to filter water as normal. These are the best water filters I've ever used. They're quite expensive, given the quality of the water where I live, but after using ZeroWater the taste of my tap water is foul so I know they are worth the cost.
I get the same or more clean, healthy, great tasting water from one ZeroWater filter than several store bought water bottles. I use it for cooking and my coffee tastes great, too! No need to worry how long ago the water was bottled, if it was left outdoors under the sun, or tampered with. I have total control; call it peace of mind.
