After a couple of weeks the filter and my water had a stinky fishy smell. However the gauge still showed 0 on the water. Also, black flecks were coming out of the filter. Not sure I will purchase any more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had to waste 2 out of four filters opened as they were smelly and produced no clean water, just the 000s

Unfortunately, the rubber around the rings of the filter is thinner, thus they leak. Even thought you tighten more it still leaks.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Due to the amount of variables involved we try and stay away from using time to determine filter life, instead we use gallons, a more constant form of measurement. Filter life is based solely off of the quality of the water being filtered. The higher the tap water is in dissolved solids the shorter the filter life will be.
