The one replacement filter I’ve used so far has filtered water more quickly than the initial filter. It’s early to tell since I’ve only used one of these filters.
Have been using these filters for a few years now and they are great. You can smell the chlorine in my water when you turn the tap on, but since using these filters, you certainly can't taste it! I also appreciate that there are no carbon filter particles in the water when I change the filter. They may cost a little more but they are worth it. We like this system so well we have 2 pitchers so we always have a supply of good tasting water.
We love using zero water filters. They make your water taste greats! Also I like it that I can purchase in bulk to lower the cost of each filter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You hit the nail on the head Veganatrix77!!!! While I haven't been using ZeroWater Filters for a decade, I have been using them for the last 5 years. But in the last year, I have been very disappointed with the filters. As Veganatrix77 states, the water barely trickles out of the reservoir on top through the filter and into the pitcher! I have to keep trying everything to get the pitcher to fill, it's way more time consuming and frustrating! Tapping the pitcher on the counter to try and release what I had originally thought was air bubbles.... emptying the reservoir, removing the filter, tapping the filter alone, or rinsing it, shaking it, turning it upside down and back upright, everything I could think of to get it to work like it used to! I keep the reservoir clean so there is no build up. But nothing works!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We certainly apologize for the continued frustrations with the filters, the filter getting air locked like this is a common occurrence with a gravity fed filtration system. Unfortunately it is just somewhat the nature of the technology, generally if you put an inch of water in the reservoir and then grip the middle section of the filter with both hands and firmly squeeze the filter in a pumping action until you are completely certain that there is no more air coming out of the top of the filter this will solve the issue for the life of that filter. If you do not clear all of air from the filter this issue will continue to compound itself over and over. Also never fill the reservoir directly from the faucet or spigot from your sink as this is naturally aerated and will force air down inside the filter. It is best to fill the reservoir with a large glass or measuring cup and pour into the corner of the reservoir away from the center of the filter. If there is ever a filter that simply just will not fix itself when the aforementioned trouble shooting steps have been followed we are more than happy to replace that filter. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
