I have been using these filters for a few years as I have high arsenic levels in my well water. These filters give me peace of mind and the meter tells me when it is time to change the filter.
Great until my water taste like fish. Filters don't last as long as advertised.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ZeroWater's Ion-exchange resin filters are a reliable and efficient way to get delicious, filtered water. They work by exchanging ions in the water with regenerated ions from the resin beds, which can remove a variety of contaminants from water, including lead, nitrates, sulfates, calcium, magnesium, and other heavy metals. The exchanged ions bind with the contaminants, making them much easier to filter out. Our combination of cation and anion exchange resins can reduce 99.6% of dissolved contaminants in your water. However, when the filter is exhausted no more contaminants can be filtered out and an unpleasant smell and taste may be present. This is a common cause of overuse and can also occur by pouring hot water into the filter or freezing it. Be aware, though, that while the smell is unpleasant, it does not indicate any harm or danger. It is only time to replace your filter. Change your filter once the TDS meter reads 006. Thank you,
I like it, and I can tell the difference in the water and it is quick. My only complaint is that the filters only last for about 3 weeks. After the 3 weeks the water has a funny taste and the levels are up. We have well water so that may be the cause. But with the price of the filters it does get expensive to have to change them so often.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems such as a Culligan Whole House Filter to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical. There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.
Our tap water reads at about 130ppm. These filters last for about 25 to 30 gallons. The price per filter in these six-packs brings our cost down to a bit less than 1/2 of the cost of our (previously) favorite bottled water - and tastes better as well.
After about 2 weeks of using the filter, the water will all of a sudden taste like plastic very strongly. The meter will still read very low, like 1 or 2 but the taste is horrible, the filter needs to be replaced. The filters don't last more than about two weeks. Better if it last one month.
I was skeptical after reading reviews about ZeroWater replacement filter not filtering water to a '0'. So, after my replacing my first filter my water read higher than a '0', come to find out the filter was not threaded in properly. The unit was leaking around the filter. I reinstalled the filter so it sealed tight, got my '0' reading from then on. On my third replacement filter with no problems and a '0' reading. I am very happy with ZeroWater and replacement filters.
