It produces the best tasting water you’ve ever drunk. And you can tell the difference if you forget to change the filter, which happened to me once. My wife and I figured out that it was 3 months + and after a change, the water was delicious again!
Sometimes the water doesn’t go just through the filter, but runs down the side. I have it as tight as it will go. So sometimes my water doesn’t taste great.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Apologies for the issue with the filter. Please try removing the filter, drying off the threaded area of the filter with a paper towel, then reinstalling, giving the filter one more hard twist the the right to complete the seal.
I was introduced to ZeroWater filters from my veterinarian in 2018 for my 10 year old cat; he was an avid user and fan of ZeroWater for best healthy felines. Then I got hooked at the difference it made!
PERFECT! I love water but hate the taste of many filtered water. I also travel a lot and the local water is horrible sometimes. ZeroWater is absolute perfection. No after taste. I even use filtered water for ALL my cooking. I have had a considerable difference in the taste of food since starting ZeroWater. I never realized before how much the water could change the taste.
I’m not sure how to couch this. The filter appears to do what it is touted to do, and the comparison tables provided are impressive, to say the least. However, when I tested the filtered water (multiple times) for pH, I was shocked that it tested highly acidic (3.0 or less)! Because of this, I have to add baking soda to my water bottle to raise the pH to an alkaline level. The water tastes very good, but I would not recommend anyone to drink it without raising the pH of the water.

The effect of filtration through a ZeroWater filter can vary depending on the makeup of the water being filtered. Your water may contain certain ions that when filtered through ZeroWater may result in a slightly lower pH level. As everyone’s water is different, if the pH goes below 5.0 the water might taste bitter but is not dangerous, the pH of Lemonade is about 3.0. There are drops, or as you mentioned baking soda; that can be added to water post filtration to alter the pH to your liking.
