The filters only last two weeks. It feels like a scam.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical. There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short. Perfect for me and my cat to have safe water to drink! I love my 10 cup pitcher with the spout at the bottom! So wonderful to be able to get the amount of water I need without having to pick up the full pitcher!
Look elsewhere for a filtration unit. These are bulky. There seems to be some design error in that the water stops flowing through the filter

From time to time, a filter may develop an air bubble or air pocket. Carefully lift the reservoir, grip the body of the filter at its mid-section and give the filter 4-5 squeezes while there is water filtering through. This will return the flow back to its normal state.
Very effective filters, a little on the spendy side. As good as the filters are the majority of the the pitchers are poorly designed. Either poor flow or poorly constructed.

After 1 week of using a new filter, I had to change the filter once again as the water tasted bad. Can anyone advise what the problem would be? I have looked for an expiration date on the packaging and there isn’t one. Can anyone advise how lone a filter is supposed to last?

The filters do not expire, filter life is dependent on the quality of your specific tap water. You can click the link below to view the filter life chart on our website https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0311/5499/5336/files/tds-chart.jpg?v=1601429855 If you have any further questions or concerns we are available at 1-800-503-2939

great help, after purchase

Length of ownership:6 months
We purchased the large, glass counter top unit, 40 cup... last summer. Then it was time to change the filter. A couple of days ago, we purchased the filter package (of 2) since we save a bit of $ that way. Every attempt to get the one new filter on wasn't working: it always went on slightly crooked. This meant tap water streamed out of the TOP of the filter, before ever going thru all the stages. Ugh! We call & spoke with Tyler. Very nice person. When I told him what was happening-- I even tried to install the 2nd filter (same problem). "Oh, that's not your fault". He explained this was evidence of the 'threads' for screwing on the filter not being formed correctly. Immediately, he sent me a pkg of 2 replacements--for free. --- We love the taste of ZeroWater and we're so grateful we bought this unit, went with this company.
