Great Washer

This washer is great, it is very quite, handles just about anything you throw at it and is easy to operate. The only negative I can find is the wash times on some of the cycles are extrodinary (up to 2 hrs for a load) and some times it has issues with self balancing (which extends the time even longer than what the timer says). Other than this, it is a great washer.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, Quality, Style/Design, easy to use

Good Machines

I've owned this machine for almost a year. I love the fact that you can choose to do quick loads for a few article of clothing with minimal detergent. Another feature of this machine is the idea that you can just press 'start' twice to use the regular cycle for day to day laundry ( eg. towels, t-shirts etc.). It's a great machine.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, Quality, Style/Design, easy to use

Have had my machine since12/29/12 and absolutely love it! My clothes come out clean and smelling fresh! I use the steam feature much more than I thought I would!
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

great machine for a family

I spent a great deal of time researching washing machines before I made this purchase. I read reviews online, visited multiple stores to compare products, and spoke to sales people and friends. Product reviews were strong for the LG machines, and this was supported by personal feedback from friends who already owned a machine. There is negative feedback online on every make and model by every manufacturer, and it becomes difficult to sort through. I selected the LG because of overall good feedback, the dimensions of the machine were better suited to my space (many models by other manufacturers are deeper front-to-back) and also because of its large capacity. With about six weeks experience, I can say I am very happy with this machine. I love not having to take large bedding and tablecloths to the laundromat. I find even regular bedding is much less tangled than with my old top-loader. The steam feature did seem to improve stain removal on some items, and the sanitary cycle did a good job of removing stubborn odors. It is easy to understand the panel settings and make changes as desired. The machine is quiet and I like the countdown display showing the minutes remaining per load. As with all front-loaders, we need to be careful about not leaving wet clothes in the machine very long after the cycle finishes, and this can be inconvenient, as is wiping down the seals when finished for the day, and then leaving the door open. Overall, however, I am extremely happy with the performance of my LG washer. Laundry seems much less a chore and, because I don't now have a separate pile of things that need to go to the laundromat, my laundry room is neater also. I purchased the extended warranty with my machine because it seems as home appliances have more electronic components, repairs are more likely and more costly. I hope I never have to use it.

Can't stand it!!!

This thing won't do small loads; it won't do large loads. Forget thorwing 1 bath towel in with childrens clothes... It takes 3+ hours to do a normal wash. I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!
It takes FOREVER to find balance when it tries to spin, therefore it can't wash 1 towel, or bed sheet, or small blanket or a pair of mens jeans. I wish I could get my money back for it.
I'm seriously ready to put it on Craigs List.
The next load that finishes with "UE" (can't find balance so didn't spin) I may throw it in the garbage!!!!!!!

I do experience longer wash times. You can tell the items come out cleaner. When washing whites I add in HE color safe bleach to the detergent drawer along with bleach in the bleach compartment. I'm very satisfied. I do wish this model was remote monitor capable tho.

My ultra capacity steam washer is absolutely the best washer i've ever owned. It truly is top of the line. I actually enjoy doing laundry now.
