faulty unit

The controll buttons on top of my unit do not work and I can not yet connect to my wireless network. It see's my router, but will not authenticate. I downloaded the firmware upgrade easily but afterwards the display glitches when not playing a movie. It did not do this before the upgrade. I'm returning this unit for an exchange because it plays beutifully with great picture and sound. I'll be very happy if the replacement works as it should.

Wife purchased me the blu ray for christmas. Easy to maneuver aound and has some great extras. Looking forward to getting a wireless router to utilize them. Great picture!!!! Highly recommended. Wife checked out alot of other ones and this is by far the best, for value as well as design. You cannot go wrong with this product.

I have been waiting to buy a Blu-Ray and I finally did it. I am so glad I waited because I feel I got a great product for a great price. My Samsung Blu-Ray has all of the features I wanted and it looks so sleek and simple. For our first movie, we watched an action flick. The picture was outstanding and the sound was tremendous. I felt like I was in a movie theater! Thanks Samsung!

I just purchaed this blue ray player and it has blown me away. The quality of the picture and sound are amazing. THe design of the player is great and very easy to set up to the wireless network. The best part of this blue ray player is that we can watch movies from netflix!!!!
Love this blue ray!! Recommended this to all looking to invest in a blue ray.

Netflix sealed the deal for me, along with a free wireless dongle. The Netflix streaming works really well and the picture is suprisingly good even on a 55" TV. Blu-Ray performance and other features are solid.
Really, really disappointed to learn that Samsung includes a slightly different wireless dongle with Blu-Ray and Home Theater systems - one that cannot work with their TVs. So you cannot use the same dongle and switch it between your TV and the player. That was a poor product decision as it's very non-customer-friendly.

I bought this unit to go with my home theater system, the BD1250. The blu-ray that came in the box with the theater system would freeze the picture after about 10 minutes. Well, this unit froze up too. After much investigating buy the Geek Squad and others, a nerd student of mine came to take a look and right away found the problem. "It's the heat building up inside your cabinet thats making the blu-ray freeze up on your movies," he told me. I had placed the unit inside a closed up cabinet (with doors always clased when viewing a movie). The kid took the unit out and installed it on top of the cabinet and it has worked just fine ever since. There was nothing wrong with the original blu-ray that came with the BD1250 Home Theater System. In the closed cabinet, the unit just got too hot and the movie would freeze. I love this unit. Samsung makes the best. (except for the center sound bar that came with the home system. Replace it right away with bigger unit.)
