Works like a washing machine should!

I was told this was the last of the "non -High Efficiency"
machines. Pity I had an "HE" machine and it was apiece of junk. This machine works like a true washing machine!!

Good Basic Washer

We purchased this washer 6 months ago when our front load washer died after only 4 years. This washer was half the price of our old one and had most of the features that we wanted...primarily the ability to stop and restart when and where we wanted. The only feature I miss very rarely is the delicate cycle. It still doesn't fill as full as I'd like and the hot water is not hot. It comes out lukewarm, but I understand some of the complaints I have are not the fault of the washer, but the regulations. Overall I am happy with this "old-fashion" washer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had to replace my old machine, since it finally gave up the ghost. Did lots of research and finally threw my hands up and said, "Going to the store and see what they've got!" This washer was perfect! Big enough to handle any size load, even a queen-sized quilt. All the basic buttons and dials, so it is easy to use without a manual. Cleans all my different washloads great. Couldn't be happier!

I got this as a replacement to another GE washer I had purchased. It's ok I guess. It's a little loud but I guess that's because the wash room is next to my bedroom. I don't like that I was told that you can set the water levels. There is a brochure that comes with it that will clearly state that "clothes may be above water level" I don't like that feature. I set all my washes to the SUPER option. I don't like that the lid locks so you can not monitor the wash. I also don't like if you open it you have to press the start button for it to start back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Newer machines only make their energy efficient ratings by preventing you from using hot water. Machine is very noisy making klunking sounds and even vibration sounds by dial. Very unhappy with this unit.
