Water Temperature

I very recently took delivery of this washer (which was not by any means my first GE washer purchase). When I did the first load of clothes that I wanted a hot water wash, the supposed hot water that came out of the washer was not even warm. Looking at the manual, it stated that GE now adds some cold water to the hot water temperature as an energy saver. The problem is with the washer, not with my water heater, because all other water in my house is as hot as I like it. So buyer beware, if you expect hot water with the hot water temperature setting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had the washer for two months now. I was looking for a basic washer without all the new electronics and this fit the bill. Really happy so far with the purchase. It has a large basket and you can control the water level settings. It also uses regular laundry soap.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Quiet and works great

Wasn't sure that this washer was going to be as good as my old GE Washer, but after a few weeks, I can see that is as good as or maybe even a little better. Love the quietness of this one compared to my old washer.

This washer does not perform as promised: it is very noisy, unreliable and difficult to repair. Water temperature uneven and true hot water wash unavailable. Laundry ends up twisted around agitator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the washer

This washer is great. No lid lock! I can add clothes any time. May use a little more water but still ok. Thanks GE for a no bells or whistles washer, just plain old washing machine.
