Does everything that we needed, everything comes out great. I was amaze at how well the spin cycle worked, cut drying time way down....

Works well, smaller size cabinet

I had to buy a smaller size washing machine to fit in my laundry room "closet," and I bought this machine sight unseen, mainly on the GE name. It washes my clothes well, but the tub does not fill to a high enough level to use plenty of water in my opinion. Also, the machine agitates the clothes in such a gentle and quiet manner, that it's hard to believe they will get clean, but they do. Overall, I'm happy with this machine.

Does the job

I am satisfied with the washer. It does it's job. It does a good job. It does not hold many clothes. The Extra Large indicator is really a normal load size. There is no reason for the small load indicator unless you are washing 1 or maybe 2 items at the most. (Not in my house). Water does not fill to the level it appears to indicate so be careful. It actually only fills to maybe 70% of expected capacity. Other than that, I am happy with the machine. It is very quiet (a plus in my world) and it does a good job as needed. Just remember to wash often because you cannot put a large load amount of articles in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Basic Model

I have only done a few loads and it washed fine. The BIG issue that you are not informed about is that the water temp. is not as you have expected. Hot is NOT hot. It is lukewarm because the government decided to conserve our hot water useage so they made sure that cold water gets mixed in with the hot. Really. Do they have nothing better to do? Wait till they put that mixer valve in your shower!

Deceptive Temperature Settings

The washing machine has a nice large tub and is very quiet. However, we are very unhappy with a washing machine that has a "hot" setting, but cannot provide hot water. Apparently new washers, in order to save energy, are programmed to have the "hot" setting provide luke warm water and the "warm" setting provide cool water. Since this is not an HE model and doesn't use HE detergent, I cannot get any hot water to make my whites really clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor design

I purchased this washer 6 months ago. I have already experienced 2 broken agitators due to poor quality and design . The fins on the agitator are made of flimsy plastic and the fins brake. In addition, clothes and blankets have been damaged due to poor design of the agitator. I would never purchase this washer again. Although I have only had it for about 6 months, I wish I never bought it.
