Really Quiet

The washer is real quiet when working on the wash cycle and equally quiet on the rinse and spin cycle. It's the old fashion type where you can set the wash depth without all the sensors telling the machine how much water to use.

Love No LOCK LID

So far so good. I read many reviews on this washer after I purchased it. I was very worry about it after reading so many BAD reviews. I had them deliver it the next day anyway.
To my biggest surprise I was wondering why so many bad reviews on it. I have to say. That only one I thing is very true, it DOES have a HOT water setting which I have to say all the reviews about not dispensing HOT water is VERY TRUE! There is no way you can get HOT water in the washer.
I don't really care about that because I don't use Hot water to wash my clothes.
Besides that. I have no complaints with it YET.

i love this simple machine!

i've had this machine for 2 weeks and i love it! i got rid of an HE machine that aggravated me for 4 years. it had lid lock, sensing water level, etc. but it never cleaned the clothes, left soap residue on it, required a second rinse. this new GE does all the things a washer should do--it lets you choose the water level and temperature, add clothes without the hassles of a lid lock. it doesnt sense the weight of the clothes. you can add detergent or softener or bleach whenever you want. i feel like i'm in control of this machine, not the other way around. it finishes a load in record time, the clothes are clean, no soap residue, no need for a second rinse or a second spin. just a great old fashioned mechanical operated machine, not an electronic one with possibility of expensive repairs. it doesnt have all the bells and whistles of the fancy machines, but it does its job. i would strongly urge anyone who is in the market for a new washer to skip the HE machines and go with this one, you wont be sorry! its like the original washer i got 40 years ago that lasted 19 years, and my second one that lasted 15 years. i made a mistake in getting the HE machine. now i'm back to the simple one, and its a great price!

Only had the washer about three weeks. But really like the variable load size and the softener dispenser. My clothes are cleaner. The machine is so quiet I thought it wasn't working. Wonderful machine.
