I have never tried yoga and I'm not very flexible. I found the step-by-step basic instruction very user friendly and encouraging. And it felt good even on the first try.

I am the resident Yogi at the local PowerHouse Gym. I strongly recommend this DVD. Great for a beginner to Yoga, but also superior to refresh the training of the more advanced Yoga practitioner. Rodney is wonderful. Clear in descriptions, and has a delightful sense of humor. All Giam products are great buys, but combining Rodney Yee with the Giam label guarantees excellence.

I was very disappointed in this dvd. It was definitely not for beginners unless they were in great shape! Rodney and his parther moved very quickly through the poses, as if the viewer were familiar with them. They also assumed a great degree of flexibility in the viewer. I only saw a few modified poses for those less flexible or with physical limitations.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

FINALLY a video that actually helps you avoid doing the poses WRONG and teaches the correct way to pose. this is very helpful. Now, finally, I may be able to learn to do yoga properly AND progress ! .

I love Rodney's videos and this one is no exception to that! I mostly got this for the 2 practices and so I would have a break down of the postures if I needed it. I love both practices and the break downs are very detailed and broken down well.

I like the varied routines for each morning, but I guess I was looking for a little more. I consider myself a beginner as far as skills go, but I like having options to make some of the moves harder. In some classes I take, the instructor gives a low and high option for certain moves. I wish this video included that because it gets slightly repetitive after a while. However, I like the speed at which the poses are explained. It's a nice, easy AM "wake me up" kind of DVD.
