Delivers on promises

I received this product as a free sample in exchange for my honest review. I used this product in the fall for my infants room. It's not too cold yet but morning are chilly, and in my old house the cold really seeps in around the windows. I was impressed that this heater kept the whole room at an even temperature; other heaters would overheat certain areas and near the window would still remain cold. It was low noise that did not disrupt anyone. I like that this is specifically designed for a nursery, when the baby is crawling it gives me peace of mind with it's automatic shutoff and shortened cord features. I feel that especially for people in older or drafty houses, this is a must buy.
Pros: Convenient Use, Low Noise at High ISO, Portable, Safe, consistent heat

Doesn't heat up

Heater is always cool to the touch but never seems to be pumping out heat, more like lukewarm air... my sons room is very small and he's recently been waking up cold, his room is freezing and I have the heater on the highest heat setting! This product is going back.

What a great heater!

I am a mother to three under 5, but i am also a newborn photographer! I was SO excited to get the Vornado heater and my 1 year old son quickly jumped in to help me unpack the box. The first thing i noticed was how awesome it was that the cord tucks away to be completely hidden and that there are so many great safety features!!! The button on the bottom that ensures its on a flat suface to run and the child lock on the power button were both super exciting to me! The multiple settings are nice too. I love that this is so portable and quiet. I can use it at home and in my sessions!! The colors are absolutely adorable too.
Pros: Convenient Use, Easy To Clean, Portable, Sturdy Construction, excellent design, great safety features

Same issues that it seems others have had

I too have issues with heater shutting down after a short time while running on the high heat setting. I try to get baby's room up to temp quickly but heater seems to not be able to handle the task. Also have sent an address inquiry email yo costumer service regarding the issue with no response. Even if I can get it serviced by sending it in would be inconvenienced by not having the space heater. Would end up needing to purchase another heater to bridge the gap. I would not recommend getting this heater. Wish I would have read more reviews before making the purchase.

scared to use anymore. no response from customer service

We used to love these and replaced our old oil space heaters so our children would be safe. One made an awful noise after a while. They both started smelling like they were on fire and we're afraid to use them anymore. My husband has contacted Vornadobaby customer service via email and phone and beyond the initial response asking for more information, no one has contacted us back and he cannot get a hold of them. Don't expect them to go the extra mile for the 5 year happy parent guarantee. These didn't last close to that long and they won't do anything about it.

Safe but it's not "hot". Not for a room that doesn't already have heat going to it... Doesn't warm up the room. Only knocks off the chill. But that's it. Do love the safety features.
