Safe but noisy

We live in a warm climate and try not to turn the heat on in the winter but the temperatures can get just a little too cool for the nursery so I invested in the vornado sunny baby heater. It is compact and puts out a lot of heat but unfortunately it doesn't have a heat regulator and will continue to warm the room all night until it's way too warm in the nursery. Additionally it rattles and is too noisy. I am disappointed. Cute packaging and marketing but lacks in performance.
Pros: Convenient Use, Portable, Sturdy Construction
Cons: No heat sensor, Rattles

I researched and researched before making the purchase as it is fairly expensive. I have used cheap heaters around the house and at work, and would not feel safe with any other heater I've owned in my babies room. The Vornado is awesome! I would totally recommend. I am a little unsure about leaving it on overnight as with any heater. However if I were to leave any heater on at night I would feel the safest with the Vornado. My son is 7mo and his room seems to stay cold all the time. Does Vornado suggest Turing the heater off over night or should I feel safe? i see previous comments about the inconsistency in the heat flow and it not turning back on. I have not have any problems with the temperature. Seems to heat very steady and is not hot when you touch the Vornado.
Pros: Durable, Heats Up Quickly, Lightweight

Quiet and Safe

This product does what it is supposed to do and it does it well! The design is compact and sturdy and seems much safer than other heaters. When in use the room doesn't get too hot or stuffy as I have had happen with space heaters. The child safety features are key and make this a must buy product on it's own! This will use so much less energy than if I had to set my thermostat to heat the babies room. The babies room tends to be the coldest in the winter and the hottest in the summer so this product is a great way to solve the problem!

Terrible Customer Service

After less than a year of use, it started making an awful noise. I contacted customer service (7 emails and several phone calls) and after 1 initial response asking for information, I have been unable to get ahold of anyone else. A terrible way to run a company.

A heater with features I didnt know I needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We stay in the northeast where the temperatures really dip when they do. I recently delivered a baby and needed him to stay warm even though I like to stay cool. For him, I had to turn up the thermostat, but it was very uncomfortable for me. So I needed a separate heater for him. This heater perfectly fit the bill. Its compact so I can move it around when needed and heats up really quick. It offers a wide range of heat levels and I can adjust it to suit my baby. The safety features were really useful since my older one(5 year old girl) likes to tinker with stuff a lot. The safety features ensure that she doesnt turn it on when its not needed and also the device turns off when it tips over. Great device to have around kids.
Pros: Child proof clip for power switch, Good looking, Quick heat up, Safety tip over auto shut off, Small footprint

Stopped working after 5 months

I thought this was a great product until it flat out stopped working after a few months of light use. It has great features but unfortunately is not worth the money for such a short lifespan.
Pros: Portable
Cons: Poor Quality

I would not recommend this for a baby nursery

I purchased this heater when my son was born because we had newly relocated to Calgary, Alberta from Houston, Texas and the winters here are COLD!! His room seems to be the coldest one in the house so I purchased this heater after weeks of research. The heater warms quickly, but it will continue to warm the room all night and I have lost a lot of sleep from having to run back and forth to adjust the dial to make sure my son is not too hot....(my monitor shows the room temp at all times). The fan works sporadically and sometimes never turns back on which makes it even more annoying. I wish I had known about the Sunny CS because I would have purchased that heater instead. The Sunny heater is good for an adult at work or a large room with proper circulation....I now turn the heater on and leave his door half way open and my husband and I have to tip toe around the house to make sure we don't wake him with any noise...all in all I'm disappointed and I hope to purchase the CS in the future. I wouldn't recommend this heater for a baby nursery, but it would work perfect for an adult in a work environment or larger room.

Thermostat

There is no actual temperature for each setting on the thermostat. Just 1,2,3,4,5 & 6. Doesn’t have to be on the product itself but maybe in the manual. The product is light weight & the cord storage is nice but overall not knowing the temperature is uncomfortable considering it’s for a nursery.
