Great Product at a good value

I had been using some of the newest razors out there on the market and was unimpressed with their performance and will the steps needed in getting a close shave. Such as lathering up each time and all that goes with rinsing the razor every few strokes. I started looking at the newer shavers and found that they have come along way from the old electric shavers my dad used. I researched the reviews on various models and chose the Phillips due to the positive reviews and the quality of the product and value. I have been using it now for about 3 months and completely satisfied with it's performance and the close shave I get without gels or cream. Definitely worth a look if your serious about a close comfortable shave.
Pros: ease of clean up

Was excited to try this shaver. But after using it for several weeks, I find that it does not perform to my expectations. Chin area is very difficult to get close shave, and the trimmer attachment is worthless. Had a Norelco years ago and it was a wonderful shaver. Switched to a competitor 10 years ago and when it finally died, I decided to go back to the Norelco. Big mistake. Will be going back to that brand very soon.
Pros: lightweight and clever design
Cons: poor performance, flimsy construction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Maybe I'm not used to it but it doesn't seem get as close a shave as my blade razor and it seems to take longer to shave.

This is my third Norelco razor. I started using Norelco razors about 12 years ago. I have a fairly heavy beard always get a good close shave. I have always bought above the medium grade razor. The only problem I have had is that the battery does not hold a charge after about 6 years of use. I have no problem replacing my razor every 6 years.

i like the design of the shaver head

I don't like having to swap out the shave head with the sideburn trimmer. The Chrome ring has come off on more than one occasion too.
Pros: good shave, ergonomic design, good battery life
Cons: having to swap heads
