Great design, but not a great shave.

I'm a life-long blade user and decided to purchase the electric and use it for the summer. Recognizing that it takes awhile to 'convert' from blade to electric, I gave it 5 months. Overall, it's OK, but not great.....leaves a lot of hairs and requires about twice as much time as a blade shave.....not a razor I can recommend.
Pros: sleek design
Cons: poor quality shave experience
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does a excellent job with little effort. I do object to the need to add a trim blade. My old Phillips had the trim blade attached.

The razor works great; however the head keeps coming off during shaving. It snaps right back in but it's a hassle. Also the protective cover is cheap and breaks easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mediocre Norelco Product

I had two Norelco razors from the 70s and 80s that shaved great and still work well today. Very easy to clean. I got the Senso Touch 2D a couple of years ago and was very impressed at first. I love the cordless feature and the batteries last a long, long time. Also, I was impressed with how quiet it is compared to my old Norelcos. Sure, it doesn't shave as close as a blade, but it gets the job done in a tight. This razor seemed easy to clean in the beginning--just open the top and hit the blades with some canned air. Then one day I opened the top and all three blades, foils and everything fell out on the bathroom counter. It was/is a hassle to get everything put back together. I guess something broke inside, because it was very hassle free in the beginning. Now, I put cleaning my Senso Touch on my "weekend project" list, because it takes so much time. That's just not right...
Pros: quiet, decent shave
Cons: cleaning and maintenance, seemingly planned obsolescence
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello,
Thanks for your inquiry about cleaning Philips Norelco electric razor.
You may follow the below given steps to maintain an optimal shaving result using our Philips Norelco electric razor.
1. Turn the shaver on.
2. Rinse the shaving unit under a hot faucet.
3. Turn the shaver off.
4. Open the shaving unit.
5. Rinse the inside of the shaving unit and hair chamber under hot water for 30 seconds.
6. Reassemble the shaving unit and carefully shake off excess water. Let the shaving unit dry completely.
7. Pull the shaving head holder off the bottom part of the shaving unit by pressing slightly on the three sides of the head marked with blue pointers.
8. Slide the green retaining frame in the direction of the arrows indicated on the retaining frame.
9. Lift the retaining frame out of the shaving head holder.
10. Remove the cutter from the shaving guard.
Note:- For optimal performance place each cutter back into its own shaving guard.
- The shaving guards of this shaver cannot be removed. If they are accidentally removed from the shaving- head holder and you cannot replace them, please contact the Consumer Care Center in your country or take the appliance to your dealer.

Without using Lectric Shave, razor is too harsh with my skin.

This was the Christmas gift I bought for my husband, he was used to manual razor so this is new experience for him cos I like him to have a little bit beard then we use beard stylist a lot, and it was broken by accident and I called Philips and they just sent me new replacement without saying anything. and the person who took my phone was so nice, professional. I like Philips products a lot, and they do offer one of the best service in the world. super !
