I have been using this now for about 2 months straight. The shave is just not very close. I have to turn it at strange angles to even get a semi-close shave. Leaves patches requiring me to go over the same spot many times. I can see how this might work for some, just not for me.
Pros: looks nice, holds a charge, easy to clean
Cons: does not give a close shave, takes much longer than using a micro screen shaver, over priced for the performance, leaves patches of hair requiring multiple passes, doen't contour to my face very well, not what i expected for the money
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello, Thank You for your feedback on the Philips SensoTouch wet and dry electric razor (1150X/40). Please find below a few steps that may help you obtain better results : • Move the shaving heads over the skin, making both straight and circular movements. • Your skin may need 2-3 weeks to get accustomed to this Philips system. • Also we recommend not to use alternate shaving methods as doing so will only delay the skin taking longer to get used to this Shaving system. Hope the above steps help you solve your queries and make use of the product to the fullest. In case you continue having trouble with the Product you can always contact our Consumer Care Team and they will be happy to help you out. this model has dualprecision heads no different than most norelco models sometimes i like to not shave for a couple days and if its any longer than trimmer length i have to use the trimmer before shaving i would like to stop there, but even skipping one day of shaving means that it will take what i consider a long time going over my face again and again i believe i wasted my money by not putting in the extra money for the 3D model

Hello
We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with Philips shaver. We would like to inform you that your first shaves may not give you the result you expect and your skin may even become slightly irritated. This is not uncommon since your skin and beard need time to adapt to any new shaving system. However, for the best results, please follow the steps given below:
• Move the shaving heads over the skin, making both straight and circular movements. • We also advise you that you may need 2-3 weeks to get accustomed to this Philips system.
We would suggest that during this period, use your new electric shaver exclusively and do not alternate shaving methods. Alternating shaving methods makes it more difficult to adapt to the new shaving system.
If above steps doesn’t help please contact our consumer care team. For contact details of consumer care team, please follow the link given below:
Does not cut close as my previous Norelco Shavers. Does not articulate as much as I would like.

I used to use the 9000 model line, but I received a gift for this product and found that the performance is lowest than the 9000, I need to pass several times the machine against my face to get a good shaving but hurt a lot.
