Nice razor in the shower, but battery can be funky

This is a good razor and when used wet with good quality shave gel gives a shave that really does rival a blade. But, if you store the razor in the convenient holder/charger between shaves you will severely limit your battery life. My last Norelco razor had a nice stand to hold the razor; you would plug in a cord when charging was necessary. With this razor, only use the stand when you actually want to charge the razor because the battery develops a "memory" very quickly if you do not completely discharge the battery before recharging. When that happens the battery will quickly lose the ability to hold or accept a charge. Knowing this, you are likely to enjoy this razor.
Pros: outstanding wet shave
Cons: potential short battery life, combo holder/charger facilitates improper charging

No close shave. Does not cut all hairs. Clumsy hard to hold. Pinches and scrapes. Wet or dry No difference. I have used cheaper models of this vendors products for 3o+yaears, no comparison. You people dropped the ball this time. I plan to donate this junk to Goodwill. I have used it for 4 days, therefore I can't return it. UGH
Cons: no close shaves, leaves stubble, binds on skin, drags on skin, hard to hold
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Norelco I've owned!

I've used nothing but Norelco for many, many years (Probably 30 or so). I can say this is the worst Norelco I've ever owned. My old R4150 was starting to pull wiskers, so I decided to get a "new and improved" model. After a month of trying to get a close shave with this trying wet, trying dry, trying shaving gel etc. I finally gave up and went back to my old razor. Guess I'll just get a replacement head for it.
I thought I'd step up to the plate after using a 10 year old Norelco razor. The old one shaves better and faster than the new model. It's also a bit of a pain to have to store the clipper assembly. It seams better to me to have the shaver and clippers "all in one". The bettery life indicators on the unit does not function as the instruction manual states. To sum it up: It looks cool but function is disapointing
I have had 3 Norelcos before this one and this is by far the best because of the design and 3 flexible heads, extended use between charges and the comfortable fit to my hand. I have never tried another brand because Norelco has always satisfied my needs.

For Norelco, very poor

I have been using Norelco razors for over 50 years, and I am sorry to say that this one is the poorest I have owned. Using norelco I am used to a quick close shave. I have used this razor for nearly a year to give it every chance. It takes at least 15 to 20 minutes to shave either dry or with foam an still when I am through I need a shave. I bought a cheap razor from another brand and get a better shave with it. I am trying to make up my mind weather to buy another norelco, if so it won't be this model or this design.
Good idea, but overpriced and underwhelming. Can't shave worth a darn!
Pros: swivel head good idea.
Cons: can't shave worth a darn!, same as above
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
