I have another Phillips electric shaver which I like much better than this lighter weight one. It doesn't shave as well as my Braun and I am quite disappointed in the performance/

Good concept, sturdy device, decent shave

Good concept for a razor, sturdy, nice that wet-dry compatible. Shave closeness varies, and not sure when should replace head. Needs multiple passes over same area. Cleaning is a bit of a problem. Charging can only be done in the stand, and would prefer a direct connect so didn't need to take fragile stand on business trips. Many parts to bring along.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used Philips electric razors for thirty years and enjoyed them all, but this one is , by far, the best. It's fast, precise for sideburns and comforting on the skin.

Very poor design. Trimmer should be built into the shaver.

The shaver does not shave very closely. I have to go over the same area several times to get a close shave. This process leaves my face
raw and sore. I didn't have this problem with my old shaver. I wish I still had it.

Fine razor and great trimmer

This shaver works well-especially with a pre shave conditioner for everyday shaves. If you don't shave for a couple days,the same great shave can be yours with a wet shave.
Pros: shaves close
Cons: slower dry shave if you skip days

Improved battery life. More comfortable shave.

Past experience with battery life of norelco shavers has been dissapointing. On several occasions the battery has died while the shaver was still in good working order. The lithium ion battery should have a much longer life. Also like the floating head as compared to previous models. Earlier models tended to irritate the neck area, whereas the 1150X is more forgiving. Not a big fan of detatching the shaver head in order to install the trimmer, but consider it a necessary evil for the improved shave. Appreciate the ease of cleaning by taking the head apart and washing with water. This is much more convenient as compared to older models.
Pros: smoother less irritating shave., longer battery life.
Cons: having to remove shaver head and install trimmer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
