Shave is NOT as close as promoted. Not having the ability to use with AC/DC cord is a real drawback. Protective plastic cover breaks along expansion seams. Overall, I regret the purchase of this product and based on the support I've received to date, am unlikely to purchase another Norelco, though I've been a loyal user for over 30 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This shaver does not begin to compare to my old Norelco 6735X

This prodect is quiet. It feels great on my face. The only problem is that I cannot get a close shave with it. My old Advantage 6735X always left a great, smooth shave. With this shaver I can alwas feel stubble when I am finished. Even though it is on its last legs, I feel I will have to get my old one repaired. I wish I had sent it back withing the time limit. I am sorry, I cannot recommend this to a friend.
Ive been using noerlco products for 25 years and love them. Decided to upgrade to a new razor after 6 yrs without hesitation found the model and made the purchase w/o hesitation
I have used Norelco Razors for over 40 years, but this new razor has the poorest shave I have ever had from a norelco. I have used it for over 6 weeks and the performance has not improved. I will be looking for another brand of razor in the near future,

I have had at least 7 of your electric razors over the last 15 or so years and have always preferred them over the others, and they have been constantly improved. What has disappointed me with your latest is the following regressions in my opinion. The whole razor and the head in particular is much bigger and therefore not as easy to get into places the other one could, it is much more finicky to reassemble after cleaning or an accidental drop. It also is harder (impossible) to clean under the tap, and in a related consequence holds a lot of water after rinsing requiring much shaking which can dislodge the head into the sink, and or you get a lot of water running down your arm and face. The plastic is too slick and the enclosed on/off switch is awkward to find and use. Finally the charger seems overly wrought I liked the ones you had with a cup type base that also allowed you to just use the cord directly into the razor. In it's favor it is a little kinder on the skin and still probably better than the competition. I still have the older one and continue to use it as much or more than this new one, but don't despair I will remain a customer. Sometimes you get it right and change isn't always better.

Poor quality for the price.

Being in the Marine Corps there comes moments when you need a quick shave to go. This product does not offer it. Like many reviews before mine it takes 15-20 minutes to get a "semi-close" shave and then I have to shave again on top off that. Rather disappointing for the price I paid for it. I have used other types of electric razors that are a lot cheaper, and get a closer shave. Sorry, but you can have your product back.
