Love this shaver. Got it for Christmas and use it 3 times a week, in between regular shaves. Fits well in your hand. I like the pivoting heads and that it can be used wet or dry. Cleans up easily with a few seconds under the water. Can shave mutliple times off just one charge.

I received my first Norelco shaver as a gift in 1993. Within two weeks I preferred it to shaving with a blade. Although the Norelco did not shave as close as a blade, it was easier to use, never drew blood, and could be used more than once a day. That last feature made it possible to be close shaven for business in the morning and close shaven for social life in the evening.
My first Norelco had a separate stand for recharging and a switch to select American or European current. I don't recall whether it had a sideburn trimmer. Later models eliminated the separate recharging stand (one less item to squeeze into one's travel kit), had automatic current selection (no danger of melting one's shaver by failing to select the appropriate current) and a sideburn trimmer opened by the flick of a finger.
This latest model reintroduces the separate charging stand and requires a change of heads to use the trimmer. Two steps backwards, and the shave isn't any better, if it is as good. Oh, and the price has increased. So, that is why I would not recommend this model.

The flexible head smoothly follows my age-wrinkled face. Shaving is now faster and smoother than it has been over the course of my past 60 years. Really easy to clean, too.

I am a first time user of an electric razor, having spent the best part of 40 years thinking that I would not get a close enough shave, so, due to cutting myself too many times, (and using low dose aspirin) bled profusely, I decided to go for an electric.
I had been looking at the TV adds in the UK (vacation) so decided to seek out Phillips, fortunately my son-in-law uses a 6100 and has loved the ease of use. So here goes, I bought the 6100, not a newer model, and have been very surprised at the level of closeness the razor gave.
So thumbs up to Phillips, you have a convert.
