This is only the second electric razor I have owned and I have to say “WOW!!” It gets an extremely close shave without the hassles of a disposable straight razor.
The razor was also very easy to clean. The directions had included two methods for cleaning.
The simple method, of cleaning, was to just run warm to hot water over the head.
The more complex, of cleaning, thorough method actually involved taking the head off and cleaning it with a little brush.
Naturally I did the simple method after every 2 to 3 uses, after a month of use I had decided the razor probably could use the more thorough approach. After I had popped the head off of the razor I was surprised to find that the simple method of cleaning did a fine job at keeping the head clean and clear.
The only issue I had with the razor, and it was largely MY OWN FAULT, was seating the power cord properly into the base. I found that if it isn't seated correctly it will pop out of the base after it is set down on the counter, subsequently not charging your razor.
Over I am very happy with the purchase of my Norelco SensoTouch 2D and I definitely recommend it to any and everyone!
Pros: easy to use, charge and go!!, easy to clean!
Cons: double check the power cord connection at the base
I would recommend this to a friend!

Given I have an extremely sensitive skin, it leaves me with very limited options when it comes to shaving. Fortunately, this product provides me with the best shave possible with least amount of burning sensation afterwards. I am most definitely happy with this product and I happily look forward to many many shaves I'm going to have. The design is great, the razors are super sharp and the shaver performs over my expectation. Philips has done an outstanding job on this product.

Razor provides good but not great shave. It is functional and comfortable to use. I like the ability to take this razor into the shower but don't always think about using in this manner.
Some dislikes - no travel case provided w/ razor; for the price paid it should come with a case. Razor should have the ability to plug recharging cord directly into the razor and not have to use the charging stand.
Pros: comfortably fits in your hand, works good in shower or wet
Cons: no travel case provided, blades have less than 1 yr life
This is my first new Philips Norelco Electric razor in almost four years. My old Norelco still works. However, new technology prompted me to buy their latest product. I love it light weight and especially how friendly it is to my skin. I would recommend the 1150X/40 to anyone using an electric shaver. Jerry S.
Pros: easy shave, light weight, smooth feel
Cons: the pricier models have battery low indicators., i would have liked that.
I have been using Norelco razors for sixty years. This is by far the closest, smoothest shaving model I have ever used. It cuts my beard on the first pass so I don't have to go over the same area several times to get a good shave.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It will not charge. It has not charged when first taken from packaging
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
Thank you for sharing the feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Philips Shaver. The battery starts charging slowly when you charge your shaver for the first time or after you have not used your shaver for a long time. The battery charges gradually to prevent damage to your shaver. Let your shaver charge for at least two hours, then recheck the charging status. It is normal for the battery light indicator not to flash during the first few hours of charging after a long period of not being used. Note: for washable shavers, it is always necessary to unplug your shaver from the charger before turning it on. Your shaver will not turn on when it is plugged into the charger. If your shaver is waterproof, an icon will be printed on the back of the handle depicting a tap or bathtub. Additionally, we recommend charging the shaver by using the original charger that came with your shaver. Not all Philips shavers use the same charger, and the charger provided with one model might not be compatible with another. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media.
