Ten dollars more than replacement heads on my old razor. Shaves surprisingly well for the money. I only shave every other day and this shaver doesn't mind the 2 day beard growth. Plows right through. This is like my 3rd Philips that does not come with the cup style shave stand. Glad I kept my old one.
The initial packaging made me think this would be an awesome razor. I have bought more Norelco razors than any other brand. The way the heads move over my face while cutting seem to give me a subpar cut. It is quiet and the ability to rinse the heads are a plus over older models. Average model, but nothing special. I would not by this model line in the future.
I am a long time Norelco user, 35 years at least. I buy at least one a year, sometimes 2. In the past 4 years or so, they just do not remove whiskers as well. It seems to me they are underpowered. The RPMS seem below what they used to be when the shavers just cut whiskers and trimmed side burns. For the first time, I am considering trying another brand. I might even try a Norelco corded one to see if it would cut better.
Works good. No problems. Have had it for three weeks and haven't had to recharge it yet. The 950RX Philips shaver this one replaced lasted twenty some years. Hopefully this one will to. It is much quieter than my old shaver.
I have owned and used several different models Philips razors,,some costing more than this model. This 4100 seems to outperform all of the past models I previously owned, which is a delightful surprise. It removes facial hair very efficiently, and does so quickly. And it trims near the ears and sideburns very well.Yet,there is no soreness or abrasion evident, whether I use pre-shave lotion or not.In summary,I am amply satisfied, happily so.
