I have used a Norelco shaver for over 50 years and prefer it over a blade as I would always nick my face and bleed.

After using Norelco shavers for 30+ years, the last time I needed to replace my shaver I decided to give another big name in shavers a try. BIG mistake!
The other shaver was loud and made my face sore. And I often had to follow up with a razor to get all the whiskers, or if I wanted a real close, smooth shave. Not one to throw things away when they still have useful life, I was glad the other shaver only lasted a little over a year. I am so happy to be using a Norelco shaver again. Quiet and comfortable, I get a close, smooth shave with no skin irritation.
Drawbacks? Well ... the former Norelco's that I owned had heads that came off for cleaning and replacing blades. The new one is hinged - so not detachable. I liked the detachable head better because it was easier to clean on a daily basis, and I suspect it will be a little more clumsy when I go to replace the blades next year. But overall? I plan to stick with Norelco from here on out!

I have been using Norelco products (razors) for over 25 years and I have never been disappointed with the performance of the razors over the years. I have never had to replace razors due to razor malfunction, only due to newer models to hit the market. I would recommend Norelco Razors as a first choice if you are looking for a quality shaving product

Not up to Norelco Standards

This razor seems to shave just fine. It feels "cheap" in my hand however and does not appear to be of the same quality as my past Norelco shaver. Washing the head is a good touch, however I find it really does not get the unit really clean and you have to take it apart regularly.. I had thought this razor was made in the US but find it was manufactured in China.
Pros: shaves fine so far
Cons: feels cheap

I been shaving with a razor ever since I have been shaving never considered an electric until my buddy gave me his to try. A week later I bought my own Phillips-norelco. I haven't used a razor since. Shave is just as close and no nicks! Very easy and fast.
