I've always been a "Blade Man" but my wife got me this electric razor for my birthday (Norelco AT815). Have to admit its fast, efficient and quit comfortable to use, shave is not as close as a blade but the trade off is the speed and less mess. Would highly recommend.
Pros: easy to use quite cleans easily

I just recently bought this shaver to use on my head actually. I usually keep a goatee or sometimes a full beard so I will be using it to shape and trim my face also. I know it is still early for me and I don't yet know how this shaver will hold up in the long run but so far it is really smooth and effective for what I'm looking for. It seems to be giving my head a very close shave and that was even after just one use, hopefully it becomes even closer after this three week period that I keep reading about. Anyway, it has been a little bit irritating on my neck so far but the top of my head and face always feel great after using this shaver so I will continue to use it until something changes in the performance of this product.
Pros: good battery life of about 50 mins
Cons: just a little irritating on the neck.

Really nice shave

Shaves are comfortable and close. To get a close shave, only a few passes are needed unless you have waited too long to shave and the hairs have gotten overly long. The long hair trimmer is excellent.
The downside is the placement of the power toggle button. It is placed where the thumb naturally falls during a shave and I have turned it off during several shaves. Maybe this minor complaint will change once I get used to a different hold.
Wiothout this minor niggle, I would have given the shaver an EXCELLENT in all categories.

First I want to say that this is by far the best shaver I have ever had, I am 64 years old and have only ever bought and used Philips products all my life.
I called yesterday to comment on my shaver shutting off on it's own and you immediately put in an order for me to receive a new one and it will be shipped FedEx 2 days...and I am very impressed by your quick response and great service. I love your product and will continue to use Philip products for the res of my life.

I wouldn't even think of purchasing any other shaver brand unless it's a Phillips Norelco. My Dad used a Norelco when I was younger, so it has become a reliable brand we can trust. I believe my Dad was using Norelco shavers before the partnership with the Philips company. I decided to buy this shaver after over 5 years of use with my old shaver. The battery on my old shaver would not hold a charge so I decided it was time for a new shaver. The batteries on Philips Norelcos new shavers are Lithium Ion and last much longer than the battery inside my old shaver. I also needed new replacement blades as well and I knew a new set of blades would come with my new razor. These shavers are great to carry when you are traveling long distances. They are durable and long lasting. I shave after throwing a little water on my face but not in the shower or with shaving cream/lotion. It can be a bit harder to clean the shaver if you use shaving cream, but it is definitely nice to have a shaver that's waterproof. The shaver charges quick. I love the design, and the black and blue colors add to the overall sleek styling of this Philips Norelco Shaver. This shaver is perfect for any guy who want a close and comfortable shave. Wether you are buying it for somebody during the Holidays or a Birthday present I recommend this shaver for that special guy!
Pros: lots of shaves on a single charge, close and comfortable shave, blades last for a whole year, easy to clean can be used in water, sleek sophisticated and modern design

Shaver performance is excellent in several respects: shave quality, battery charge duration, light weight and comfortable-to-hold design.
Only two negatives mar the ease-of-use and design categories:
(1) the power switch is located such that a normal grip may deactivate it and
(2) the ergonomic design is so thoroughly smoothly curved that there is no flat surface with which to stably rest the unit.

I used electric razors years ago; then switched to safety razors. Recently I began to use an electric razor because I became a coumadin user (reduce bleeding possibilities). I found that this product is great!! Big,big improvement over what I remember over prior Norelco and other brands. Ease of use,comfort and easy cleaning are a pleasant surprise. Technology advancements are obvious.
Pros: great flexibility of the heads, clean shave and in a short time use.
Cons: none at this time
