Its been 20 years since I replaced my old Phillips electric. I have been using a blade 75% of my shaves. I can not believe how close and smooth this new electric leaves my face. No irritation either, even in hot, sticky weather. I now use my electric more often than my blade.
Pros: close smooth shave.
Cons: hard to tell when the battery is getting low.
I found the shape of the razor more comfortable to hold, and the three floating blades provide a more comfortable shave, following the contours of my face, than other types of razors. I also find that I am not pressing hard to get a close shave - it's effortless. Rinsing the razor blades under the fawcet is a real plus, and I like that the shaver came with a D-Finer precission trimmer.
It has been over forty years since I used an electric razor (original Norelco Triple Header) and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this one is to use and clean. I have a light beard and this razor easily gives me the smoothest shave I've ever gotten. I love the flexibility of using it wet or dry.
Razor #AT815 gave me a facial cut in the corner of my mouth that still hasn't healed yet. I never had an ingrown facial hairs until Iused an electric razor #AT815.
I have used Norelco electric shavers for at least 25 years. My current Model 4400 is my favorite for several reasons. It is quiet; it gives me a close shave quickly, it is a wet/dry model (I shave wet}; the first charge lasted 40 days; and it gives me a blinking light to advise that the battery needs recharging. The sideburn trimmer is a nice addition.
Pros: see my review, the amazon price was very fair.
