The shaver is comfortable to use, gives a close shave, holds a charge a long time and cleans up quickly under hot running water. Pop-up trimmer does an excellent job. I've used Norelco nearly all my life straying only once, but quickly came back.
Cons: a little pricey but worth it

I only use as conventional electric shaver. Do not use "wet" feature. Shaver is easy to hold, easy to recharge. I use 2 to 3 x's/week. I don't shave every day. I also use a safety razor several times per week, for better results on neck area & sideburn edges. Although I am over 80, I still have dark and heavy growth. I like electric for the convenience and minimal preparation.

The Philips electric shaver is easier than using a bladed razor but I highly recommend using a PRE-SHAVE. It makes all the difference in the world! My wife says my face is much smoother since I began using the Philips too.
Pros: no cuts like i got from a blade.
Cons: a pre-shave is recommended.

I have always shaved with a Norelco shaver.I had my last razor lasted me 15 years, I thought that I wouldn't be able to find a suitable replacement. I chose the AT811 based upon charge time and affordability. I was skeptical at first because of its light weight. My first impression was cheap quality due to the weight difference between this razor and my old one. I was fooled, this razor is far superior in shave closeness,and in battery life. I have had little or no irritation. I have only used this razor for dry shaving. I am more than impressed with the battery, I have shaved daily, for more than two months, before I have had to recharge the battery. I was beginning to think that the low battery light didn't work. Great razor for a good price.
Pros: battery life is great., close and comfortable shave.
Cons: doesn't sit stable on a flat surface.

Seems weak and under-powered, or slow motors?

Even on a full charge, it sounds weak and seems to run like it is under-powered or running slow? I expected it to run at a higher rate of speed and a louder whizzing sound. Even if you use lubricant/lotion/creme and prep your face with warm water, and rotate the heads over the same area over and over, it misses hairs? Not really as clean of a shave as I would like.
Pros: lightweight, easy charging, nice water-resistant design under the heads, seems durable, it works great and is safe on your ear lobes.
Cons: it runs like it is weak or under-powered or slow

I use shaver every day with soap, shaving cream and hot water. The result is a close shave with no irritation. A charge lasts for two weeks and recharge time is 1 hour. Shaver performance does diminish as recharge time approaches.
