I love my new Norelco 4100. Its design and quality are what I have come to expect from Norelco since I have been using them since I was 30. I normally get 10 years out of life out of my shaver and the only reason I bought a new one was the blades were finally going dull and replacements were no longer available. The motor still ran quiet.

This is the third Philips Norelco shaver I've bought. I wore the other two out after many years of service. This one is the best of the three. I get a closer shave with less irritation than either prior shaver. The battery lasts as presented and it travels well. I seldom use it while wet, but that's a great option that I will keep. The cost/value is very high-I cannot imagine getting a better shave from a machine that costs two or three times as much.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this shaver worked well with either light or heavy facial hair and was easy on my face from the first time I used it. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would have. The only thing I can fault is the side-burn trimmer which I believe could do a better, more efficient job
Pros: works well with different amounts of facial hair, kind to my face i.e. little if no irritation
Cons: side-burn trimmer could work better
