I received a free sample of this toothbrush and I was surprised by how well it cleaned my teeth with such a small brush head. Normally, I use a firm, manual toothbrush, but this Sonicare toothbrush cleaned my teeth just as well. I was also surprised by how gentle it feels on my teeth. I have a broken tooth and it didn't cause any discomfort for that tooth, in particular. Having never used an electronic toothbrush, the vibration took some getting used to, but I did get used to it. It has a setting that starts the vibration off on a lower setting and then it gradually amps up as you use it. My favorite thing about it is that the brush head is so small that it reaches the back teeth very well. All in all, I have no complaints with this electronic toothbrush and would recommend it to anyone looking for a toothbrush that will fight plaque.
Pros: two minute timer, easy to use, fights plaque well

but its design is not perfect. While I am brushing teeth, I can't feel well which handle side is the brush side and which handle side is the back side.
I'd suggest Philips to change the handle shape so users can sense sides clearly.

This unit sounds very tinny when on. Previous units I owned were very good quality and felt and sounded as such. By the way fyi Walnart is spelled with only one letter L.
Pros: it cleans teeth
Cons: very noisy

Great toothbrush for gently, yet effectively cleaning teeth

Overall, I do like this toothbrush. Initially, I had difficulty getting the timing down since I could take as much time as I wanted cleaning each section while using a manual brush. It took some getting used to, with the quad spacer, as far as how much time I should stay in each area since I'm used to cleaning each quartile before going on to the next.
I found it inconvenient to use this to clean my tongue since the brush head is so small. Also with how long the overall device is, and with how it's balanced in the handle and lower portion of the toothbrush, it created a challenge as far as being able to angle it to different areas of my tongue. This one particular area of my mouth, my manual tooth brush (or a tongue cleaner) is better suited compared to the Sonciare.
The soft head felt great on my gums and I was able to get used to the vibrations going through my head after about a week of use. I'm also not worrying about whether or not I'm applying too much pressure while brushing since, with the length, it makes it difficult to apply a lot of pressure inside the mouth, which is great for taking the guesswork out of it.
The two drawbacks are 1) it's not great for cleaning other surfaces of the mouth, besides the teeth so, I'll need to keep other items on hand in order to get the entire mouth clean feeling and 2) the quad spacer and directions are for the flat surfaces (inside and outside) of the teeth and at the end of the two minute time frame, you need to start another cycle to clean the chewing surfaces for the desired amount of time.

Left teeth feeling clean & smooth

I received the Sonicare toothbrush in exchange for agreeing to write a review. Overall the Sonicare toothbrush left my teeth feeling very smooth and clean. The bristle head is small, but I realized it was good for getting in tight areas. The length of programmed timer seems long , but is necessary for providing the best results. The base seems really lightweight and unstable. The sound is loud and the vibration is quite intense, but there is no denying that it seems to do a good job. I was a little nervous about the bonding on the side of one of my teeth, so I did not linger over that tooth too long. I wish the base was a little more substantial, the sound was quieter & not quite as much vibration.
Pros: cleaned well
Cons: light base

My teeth feel so much cleaner since using Philips Sonicare 2 Series plaque control electric tooth brush. I will never go back to a manual tooth brush again, I'm sure the dentist will be pleased also less tartar & plaque build-up. My whole mouth feels so much fresher and my gums are even getting a nice massage. The timer is wonderful to aid in the proper brushing. Thanks Soniccare!!
Pros: love the timer for brushing!!, no batteries has a charger, slim doesn't take up much room!
Cons: my finger occasionally hits the button & turns off
