Better than Original E Series

Loved my original Series E and lasted for over a decade. As soon as it stopped working purchased my new Sonicare 2 Series Model #: HX6252/71 and I am loving it. It seems so much stronger than the original. I do like the compact head, and that the refills are just the heads and not those big white attachments. I have only had it for 2 1/2 weeks but loving it. My husband feels the same way.
Pros: a little cheaper for refills, removes up to 6x more plaque than a manual toothbr
Cons: wish it had a 30 second timer

Even better than my old Sonicare!

I have consistently used a Sonicare toothbrush since 1991, even before they were bought by Philips. Every time I use it, my mouth feels like I've been to the dentist for a cleaning.
My last Sonicare had a brush head that was pretty straight on both sides, and I found that I was wearing back my gums from too much pressure and because the entire brush was parallel to my gums.
My daughter gave me a new 2 Series for Christmas, and I love it! It is much lighter than my old one, the brush head is more curved on the sides, so the brush doesn't grind into my gums, the head seems to move much faster, and the charge lasts much longer. My daughter is 35 years old now, and I gave her her first Sonicare for her 16th birthday. We're a family of Sonicare users!
I used to go camping frequently or for extended periods, and I could be seen using my Sonicare even in the deep woods because the charge lasted so long.
In 23 years I had 3 Sonicare toothbrushes, which shows that they are very reliable and long lasting. I had my last one for 10 years, and it was finally turning yellow! Because it still worked, I gave it away to a happy recipient.
This new 2 Series is the best one I've ever had and will hold onto it for another 10 years!
Pros: brushead shaped for better gum care, much lighter than my old sonicare, head moves much faster than my old sonicare, makes my mouth feel dental office clean, charge lasts longer than my old sonicare, my hand doesn't get tired like with regular toothb
Cons: none!!!

Nice product if your looking for the basic without all the crazy options that other models offer. I like how clean it leaves my mouth. Only after about a week of using it I notice a difference in how clean my mouth feels. Practically all plaque build up that I had in my mouth is gone thanks to this toothbrush. I was going towards the more expensive models that Sonicare has but after reading reviews and how problematic some could be I wanted something simple to use.
Pros: simple design

I have had mine for less than a year, and it seems like the battery just died and it is not working at all.

I've always had Sonicare's. They had a round base. The new design with the square base is not ergonomicly easy for me to hold. Please bring back the round base! I just don't feel that I am getting my teeth as clean with the plaque control as I did with my old Elite Series. I cried when that unit died! I sure wish I could still buy one of those!
I now have two Phillips Sonicare tooth brushes, the older one is a model e which we have had for 8-10 years and it works as well today as it did the day we purchased it. I am plagued with plaque and my hygienist recommended a more aggressive tooth brush so I purchased the Sonicare Series 2 plaque control model. At first it did not seem to operate with the degree of power I expected and I called Sonicare Customer Service and was instructed on how to improve the power of the machine. Now it provides a through job of cleaning my teeth. I am very satisfied with both Phillips Sonicare machines and highly recommend them to everyone.
My dentist, my dental hygienist, and I all noticed a significant improvement in my teeth after I switched from a manual toothbrush to Sonicare, recommended by my hygienist. At age 70, I was reluctant to buy some newfangled gizmo--hah!--but now I recommend it to anybody who will listen.

I received this Sonicare toothbrush as a free sample for agreeing to write this review. With that being said, I LOVE this toothbrush. Prior to using this toothbrush, I have been using a manual toothbrush. Why didn`t I try this earlier?! My teeth feel dentist clean and it is so easy to use. Set up was a breeze, very simple. Take out of box, click brush in charger and plug in. I plugged it in the night before use and have been using it all week without having to recharge. Very awesome product and I will never turn back. The toothbrush is not loud and the brushes are the perfect strength. No sore gums here. It is a great toothbrush!!
