This toothbrush is fantastic!

I received a free sample of a Philips Sonicare 2 series and boy it was my lucky day!
This electronic toothbrush is fantastic. I am bit old fashioned when it comes to certain technologies, but I thought, it's free so why not try it - your dentist will be thrilled if you like it.
And like it I do! At first try, the vibration was a bit disturbing, especially since my teeth are sensitive, but then I looked at the instructions and found the 'easy-start' function, which gently increases the power over a 2 week period of continual use. Perfect.
After 10 days of use I see a marked improvement in my gums. Oh, and did I mention, you need a lot less toothpaste, just remember to turn it off before you take it out of your mouth.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used the sonicare brush for approx. 21 years. I have always had wonderful results and my dentist always compliments me on my clean teeth. However the last one I bought doesn't seem to be as well made. It makes a lot of noise when I use it and it is not as stable. I prefer the older ones because of this reason. My ratings above are for my new brush not ones I have had in the past.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy transition from manual to Sonicare 2

I received a free sample in exchange for writing a review. It was good timing since I have been looking to buy an electric toothbrush ever since my dental hygienist recommended one. I have never used an electric toothbrush before and I found the Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush really easy to use. It's pretty much like a regular toothbrush with an oversized handle. It has an easy-start feature that gradually increases the power over 14 brushings for those like me that have never used an electric toothbrush before. The best part is the Quadpacer feature that beeps and pauses after 30 seconds to remind user to move on to the next section and shuts off automatically after 2 minutes. I found that my brushings are more consistent when using the Sonicare because of the timer. When I use a manual toothbrush I do not brush long enough especially when I am in a hurry and press down too hard if I am stressed. I have only had this for a week but I like it so far. However, the true test will come when I see my dental hygienist - if I have less plaque and my gums are healthier then I will permanently switch to an electric toothbrush.

Great! If you're into electronic brushing

I received the Sonicare Plaque Control toothbrush to review as a free sample. Although I have never been a fan of of electronic toothbrushes, as brushing my teeth is one of the most important things I do each day.
Setting up was very simple and self-explanatory.
To start, I do like the toothbrush. When used it definitely leaves a fresh from the dentist office feel on your teeth and gums after use. It does a phenomenal job at cleaning along the gum line and the back of the teeth.
I don`t feel that this is a `everyday` brush. The head of the brush is extremely small and almost feels as though it should be used as a once per week regimen. The motor on the brush is really strong as well. As you`re brushing you can feel the bristles on the brush spinning and cleaning.
My biggest issue with Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush is it`s not great at all for brushing the tongue. For me the tongue is where all the bad breath agents reside. The importance of brushing the tongue is equal to the importance of teeth. I find it uncomfortable and awkward brushing my tongue with the Sonicare Plaque.
Personally, I would only recommend this brush to someone that`s enthusiastic about dental hygiene or already a fan of electronic toothbrush.
Pros: powerful, leaves your teeth feeling clean, easy to use
Cons: small brush, not good for tongue brushing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mostly good with one problem

I received a sample of this toothbrush for review. I had previously been using a Spinbrush for quite a while. In my view the Sonicare has several good features but one major problem (for me anyway).
Pros: I like that the Sonicare is rechargeable and comes with its own stand. I especially like that it comes with a cap because I don`t like the idea of a wet toothbrush gathering whatever germs are in the air. It also has an automatic timer for those who like that, although I don`t use that feature.
Con: The vibration of the Sonicare is much faster and higher than the Spinbrush, to the point where in some parts of my mouth I can barely stand it because it feels so ticklish. There`s a feature called EasyStart that lowers the power the first 14 times you use the brush so you have a chance to get used to it, and the instructions said the brush comes with EasyStart activated, but I don`t think it actually was. So after several uncomfortable uses I followed the directions to turn off EasyStart and turn it back on. Then it did seem gentler, but if that`s only going to last 14 uses I`ll probably have to go back to the Spinbrush. Once the high power returns I`ll try turning EasyStart off and on again to see if it comes back, but it seems to me it would be better to just have a switch between low power and high power so people can put it however feels most comfortable.

Best Electric Toothbrush Ever

I received a free Sonicare Plaque Control Toothbrush and I found that this toothbrush is easy to use with just one button and one light. At first, I felt an uncomfortable tingly sensation, but this quickly went away after my second use. I like the small head of the toothbrush and that I can get in parts of my mouth I cannot get in with a regular toothbrush. This makes me feel that my teeth and mouth get very clean with this toothbrush. I also noticed that after a little time, my teeth are actually whiter. For me, this is the best feature of this toothbrush. I also clean my gums, roof of my mouth and tongue with this toothbrush. I like the way it cleans my gums and roof of my mouth, but I think a manual toothbrush cleans my tongue better. I also like that this toothbrush shuts off after two minutes of brushing. Overall, this is the best electric toothbrush I have ever used.
Pros: my teeth were whiter.
Cons: it did not clean my tongue as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Philips toothbrush is a game changer. I suffer from cavities on my wisdom teeth (I still have all four of them in) and just haven’t been able to find a solution that helps keep these teeth, dentist clean. I also have very sensitive teeth and have always been a little nervous about using an electric toothbrush. Wanting to try anything to help get my back teeth cleaner, I thought I’d test this toothbrush out when I was offered a sample. I can’t begin to say how much I love it! It gets in everywhere, including those hard to reach spots in the way back, and I’ve felt a difference almost immediately after starting use. I have a 6-month check in with my dentist in a few weeks and can’t wait to hear her thoughts!

It took an hour to remove tartar and clean my teeth at the dentist. He highly recommended the Sonicare toothbrush and I purchased one the same day. I use it every day and my teeth feel great!
Actually, 2 Sonicare came in the package and I mailed one to my daughter. She can't wait to get it!
